Connie Posted April 11, 2009 Report Posted April 11, 2009 Anyone out there into aerobics and know of any good DVDs? I used to do one of Kathy Smith's that wasn't too bad. Just looking for recommendations. Quote
Soul_Searcher Posted April 11, 2009 Report Posted April 11, 2009 Well, I can highly recommend Nell McAndrew maximum body workout and Davina McCalls power of three but they are English so I dont think they would be available to you. But both excellent!! Quote
Connie Posted April 11, 2009 Author Posted April 11, 2009 · Hidden Hidden Bummer, i bet they have those super cute accents. I would also be interested if anyone knows of good dance DVDs for either instruction or workout purposes. In particular i would be interested in tap, clogging, irish dance or ballroom but any recommendations are welcome, though i don't think i'd want anything more exotic than say hula dance or maybe belly dancing, that might be interesting.
livy111us Posted April 12, 2009 Report Posted April 12, 2009 I would HIGHLY recommend P90X. It is an excellent workout that we use it quite often for physical training at the Fire Station. It is difficult, but produces amazing results. Quote
mavreenrose Posted May 1, 2009 Report Posted May 1, 2009 I recommend HipHop Abs!!! It's super fun and although moves are easy, it really works!!!! Quote
chiccam Posted May 14, 2009 Report Posted May 14, 2009 Any of the Beach Body workouts really rock! I think someone's mentioned P90X. I love Turbo Jam, it's more dance mixed with the workout which makes it less dull. Quote
Guest Posted May 17, 2009 Report Posted May 17, 2009 I recommend HipHop Abs as well! That guy is really fun to work-out to. He's so full of energy. But, don't be fooled by the title... it's not "really" hip hop. It's more like Pop really. But, the important thing is, it has really cool tunes, it has cool moves, and it REALLY works. Well, I LOVE to dance. I'm not sure how it would be for people who have 2 left feet... he breaks down the moves pretty easily, but not sure if somebody who can't dance will be able to follow it. Guest dec2057 Posted August 3, 2009 Report Posted August 3, 2009 My favorite is Slim in Six by Beach Body. Quote
Guest Posted August 3, 2009 Report Posted August 3, 2009 I just tried Slim in 6 today... Yeah, that one is easy to follow. There's just too many ads about supplements and such that it almost gives me a feeling that you can't get any benefits from the work-out unless you take these supplements they are pushing on you... Guest dec2057 Posted August 3, 2009 Report Posted August 3, 2009 The only ads I have on my CD is at the very end of the DVD and since the exercise is over I just turn off the DVD. You will do better with supplements, however I never did order theirs. What I take is Reishi Slim - Home because there is no ephedra or caffiene and not only is it safe, but it builds healthy organs and bodies with the wheat germ and reishi mushrooms. So far I have gone from 151 to 139 in approx a month with no negative side effects. I love that I have no cravings, which is what was doing me in with my hypoglycemia. Now I don't even want the sugary stuff and I don't snack at night. Quote
mlbrowninwa Posted August 4, 2009 Report Posted August 4, 2009 I would have to second the P90X series. What a workout. Quote
