Starting again

I have not been posting much on here the last few months, but have been reading at times. Just wanted to let everyone know that I have requested to re-start my meetings with the missionaries. This past week I have been reading the BOM again and the Bible. On Thursday night I received a feeling like none other in all my years of looking that what I was studying was true and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true church restored on the earth. It just all at once came together for me and I knew Joseph Smith and the BOM were true.

I would like to thank everyone on this site for sharing their knowledge and feelings to one another. It really is a big help for those of us searching.

Have the first meeting with the missionaries in a year set up for this coming Saturday. We are going to meet at the Bishop's house for the ward, so this will also give me an opportunity to meet him as well. Really looking forward too it. Just realized that the last time i went to a service was mother's day last year. Hard to believe it's been that long.

Had my first meeting in a year with the missionaries today and even was able to meet the bishop of my ward. It was a very good meeting and i look forward to learning more and starting to go to church next week. Everyone was very understand that my wife will not be joining me for now and more than willing to set up our discussions outside my home due to my wife's wishes.

Kind of a coincidence as I stopped meeting with the missionaries due to my wife's concerns about a year back, but have started reading the BOM again and I feel I should start meetings again..... I am very happy for you and I pray for Heavenly Fathers blessing on your journey.

Thank you glenn. I encourage you to start meeting again. I was totally honest with my wife and told her all of my deepest feelings when i told her i was going to start meetings again and start attending church on Sunday's. After hearing how serious I was about it she agreed not to stand in my way. I pray that the spirit will come out in me and at some point she will want to join me, but understands if she chooses not to.
