bytor2112 Posted May 14, 2009 Author Report Posted May 14, 2009 Yeah, I am thinking of seeking help....maybe I will call my Bishop or something:huh::) Quote
beefche Posted May 14, 2009 Report Posted May 14, 2009 I was so happy to see Pres Obama changing his mind on this too. And I think I need to see my bishop. If bytor is agreeing with Obama, I should make sure I'm good.... Quote

Just_A_Guy Posted May 14, 2009 Report Posted May 14, 2009 The only way I'd support releasing the photos is if Obama were going to make sure heads would (almost literally) roll over this fiasco, and in a very public way. Since he's not willing to do that, suppressing the photos is the next-best option. Quote

The investigation already took place and the culprits punished. he pics will not add anything new and they serve no purpose other than inflaming anti-American sentiment. It is a fair call. Quote
rameumptom Posted May 14, 2009 Report Posted May 14, 2009 Like myself, I think Bytor is neither Republican nor Democrat, but is an independent conservative/libertarian. To publish those photos would not have helped anyone, except our enemies. I think Pres Obama acted pragmatically on this one, as I hope he will on all things. Even Democrats can occasionally be pragmatic (with the exception of Nancy Pelosi, perhaps. But then I don't consider her a Democrat, but a Jacobin). Quote
Palerider Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 Nancy Pelosi is liar....and I think everyone who heard her answering questions today would agree. Quote
spiritseeker Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 I knew I joined the Church just in time!!! The end is near Bytor agrees with the President!! Quote
Moksha Posted May 16, 2009 Report Posted May 16, 2009 I understand President Obama's thinking that these pictures would further inflame anti-American sentiment. However, I also recall the pictures of Auschwitz and how history benefited from their release when people of principal stood up and said, "No more!". We missed out on explicit photos of the Central American death squads or the Pol Pot killing fields of Cambodia in action, but their after the fact recreations still had some impact on what we should avoid in shaping our collective destinies. .
