wildbean98 Posted August 27, 2009 Report Posted August 27, 2009 I was in the last dance festival at the rose bowl in 1985 and had a vhs copy of the tv broadcast that has long since died. I've been wondering if there's still copies of the video anywhere. If anyone has a copy could you please let me know. I've been wanting to show my wife and kids what we did. Thanks! Quote
Bini Posted August 27, 2009 Report Posted August 27, 2009 You could try YouTube and see if there's any videos of it floating about. Quote
Just_A_Guy Posted August 28, 2009 Report Posted August 28, 2009 Your stake may have had a historian that kept a copy and/or forwarded a copy on to LDS Archives in Salt Lake City. I'd contact both entities. Quote
mightynancy Posted August 28, 2009 Report Posted August 28, 2009 Oooh, if you find it, let me know! I was in it, and so was Siouxz72! She was in the one to the theme from Simon & Simon, and I was in a polka and a tarantella. Good memories! Quote

pam Posted August 28, 2009 Report Posted August 28, 2009 I helped to teach a group from San Diego one of the dances. It was so much fun. Quote
Wingnut Posted August 28, 2009 Report Posted August 28, 2009 My mom helped with the costumes for this. I think I was there. I have vague memories of watching the dancing. If I wasn't at the actual festival, I was at a dress rehearsal. I was only 4 at the time (hence the vague memory). Thanks for sharing the videos. Quote
Alphawolf1974 Posted June 21, 2010 Report Posted June 21, 2010 I have a copy of the broadcast that was on channel 9.. it is hosted by steve young.. and some other lady.. but I have idea how to get it copied.. without the 1985-ish commercials.. Quote
Wingnut Posted June 21, 2010 Report Posted June 21, 2010 I watched all three segments of the video last summer when nancy posted them. IT was fun to watch. I laughed at a commercial that featured a young and not-salt-and-peppered Mark Harmon. He wasn't funny -- what was funny was that the commercial, airing in the middle of a Mormon event, was for beer.
