Connie Posted October 16, 2009 Report Posted October 16, 2009 It also bans tobacco. No, you do not have to refrain from Cola or Pepsi. My hubby just downed 2 liters of Mountain Dew today. Quote

Do you have to refrain from Cola and pepsi and stuff aswell ? It also bands drugs (which is kind of a no brainer). LDS.org - Support Materials Chapter - Word of WisdomCola and pepsi isn't really the drink, its more whats in the drink. Some feel that caffiene is a drug, others don't. To me its a matter if you are depent on it, then that would group it more into a drug. Quote
Maureen Posted October 16, 2009 Report Posted October 16, 2009 It also bands drugs (which is kind of a no brainer)...All drugs or just illegal drugs? Can people take tylenol? :)M. Quote
pam Posted October 16, 2009 Report Posted October 16, 2009 Maureen I think you already know the answer to that one. Quote

But if I was to have say de-caffinated then it would defantly be ok to drink. Quote

Coffee is on the word of wisdome because God put it there. Quote
pam Posted October 17, 2009 Report Posted October 17, 2009 (edited) Keep in mind that decaf is not the same as caffeine free. From what I've read and I'm trying to find a source..is that companies can leave 3-5% of caffeine in their coffee to be considered decaffeinated. So unless you are drinking caffeine free, you are still getting the caffeine. Edited October 17, 2009 by pam Quote

NeuroTypical Posted October 17, 2009 Report Posted October 17, 2009 The Word of Wisdom doesn't "ban" anything. It's wisdom. It says "here's some smart ways to treat your body, you would be wise to follow this council".If you want to know what it says and doesn't say, probably the best thing to do is to read it. LM Quote
