Guest Alana Posted December 20, 2009 Report Posted December 20, 2009 We've been well into the 60's here. (16-19C) We did get a few days of rain, but mostly it's pretty clear. But really it's not all fun and games in California. We had THREE nights that got down to freezing! Poor us:( Quote

Guest Alana Posted December 20, 2009 Report Posted December 20, 2009 I'm not in LA.... actually just south of San Fransisco, which is often foggy. I'm in the monterey bay, which pretty much has the best weather ever anywhere. Some but not much rainfall in the winter, warm but not too hot summers, beach and oceans, and if you want a little more extreme just drive up into the mountains right here and it'll snow and be super hot. Maya Posted December 20, 2009 Author Report Posted December 20, 2009 I been there and in Hurst castle :). Beautiful sceenary. We also had a misionary from around there here in Norway once :) Quote
pam Posted December 20, 2009 Report Posted December 20, 2009 Hearst Castle is really cool to go visit. I've been there and loved that drive along the coast. Quote
Guest Alana Posted December 23, 2009 Report Posted December 23, 2009 That is a great drive! I went to Big Basin for camping for my birthday and decided to drive to Hurst Castle and there were hundreds of elephant seals and their pups along the side of the road (since the beach is right here) and it was really cool. The mansion was really neat too. The furniture in there is what I really call antiques. Quote

It is kind of funny to se European antiques there... but it is ok... n o tthat many can or even will visit Europe to see some fancy old furniture... We see those easy, we just go to any "national museum", :)I love old places and ruins... my DH says that he would never go see any pyramides or such as, why should he go to se some stones, that are piled up on an other, hew can do it at the backyard and look at them there Quote
Maya Posted December 23, 2009 Author Report Posted December 23, 2009 We had -12 this morning, now I think it is only -3 or something. Not that cold. Quote
Hemidakota Posted December 23, 2009 Report Posted December 23, 2009 Dropping below 40-degrees here is the same as your -0 for you :) Quote
