Random thought for this lovely morning...

Is there anything better than butter?

Doesn't it make everything better?

(Let us not spoil our delicious dreams with talk of cholesterol and such. For now, it is good for us to consider the joyful pleasure that butter brings us.)

I end this (strange) thread with a poem written by someone named Helena:

Ode to Butter

Not margarine or anything in between

Ranging from dappled-light pale or

Luscious dark ale

Caressing buds, silkily

Taste enhancing, seamlessly

Toast swathed (its not depraved!)

Mushrooms browned, snails drowned in

Unsalted for baking. Salted for things like toast.

When I was little I didn't like butter. Well, I wasn't into it, but I didn't dislike it. Having oatmeal with butter was just as good as without. Now that I'm older and my taste buds have matured I see the error of my way. Butter is awesome.

I normally buy unsalted. You can always add salt. can't take it out. We get the full blocks, not the quarters. Less unwrapping.
