Heck, it very much fits with the country's original thoughts of public education.It's also my dream to do away with age-based grades and whatnot...Age-based grades... Oh my. That was my biggest dilemma! I'm not sure if I mentioned one of my sons was born in the last week of August, my other son was born on the first week of September... Cut off was September 1. Both kids are either too old or too young for their grade level!My mom told me to hold the August one back... but then he is also too old for that younger class!And that's really back into this topic of pre-K... there's really no point in pressuring a 3-year-old to read. All that is needed in this case is to put a 3-year-old around exploratory toys and let him/her learn at his/her own pace... Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
