Hi!

I am 25, and am getting baptized very soon. I was dating an LDS guy, and he broke up with me very recently, which really hurt me. I feel like I am considered "old" for LDS standards to not be married. Are there a lot of single LDS guys in AZ around my age? I am not joining the church to meet someone by any means, but I also don't want to be single for life! :) What do you think?!!

IIRC Arizona has a relatively large representation of LDS amongst it's population which, unless they are all retirees, should mean the odds are better for running into a single LDS man then say... Maine, but it'll very per location.

If I Recall Correctly. It's just a disclaimer that I'm going of my own understanding and memory instead of say having a demographic study for Arizona at hand.

I can vouch for that, since I got the last single good LDS man in Maine. Literally.

In Arizona, depending on where you are, there is likely to be Singles Wards in the cities. I suggest you check it out. Where there is no singles ward, there will be a singles group in the stake, and they will definitely want to invite you to their activities.

That's strictly a matter of opinion of course. :P

There are lots of single men there in Az and other close cities. Don't be in a rush to get married although in our church it is VERY hard to be in your mid 20-40's and not married. I have many single LDS male friends in Az who would love to find a good girlfriend.

What is IIRC?!

If I recall correctly, it's a four-letter acronym hedging whatever is being said based on potential lapses in memory. But don't quote me on that.

I was born and raised in the Phoenix/Mesa area. My ward in North Phoenix currently shares the building with a singles ward. While it as been a long time since my single days the population seems sizable. ASU is a big draw for those around your age

As for being too 'old', it just depends on whose opinion you seek. I didn't get married until I was 27, and I am friends with an LDS girl in that area who is 30 and never married. Let me say this: don't worry about it. One of the worst things you can do is to get married for the sake of being married.
