I just found this and thought I'd share....

Gratitude for Fathers

"Let us reflect gratitude for our fathers.

"Father . . . is ever willing to sacrifice his own comfort for that of his children. Daily he toils to provide the necessities of life, never complaining, ever concerned for the well-being of his family. This love for children, this desire to see them well and happy, is a constant in a time of change."

Thomas S. Monson, "An Attitude of Gratitude," Ensign, Feb. 2000, 4

Thanks for the Fathers Day Wishes.....we got started early here....around 3am we had to go into our basement for a tornado warning......:eek::eek:

We are all safe here....just have branches and limbs down all over the place

I'm glad you're all safe. What a scary way to start off Father's Day... :(

I generally, to say it mildly, dislike Fathers Day. But today was ok. Especially the cake the YW served us in priesthood meeting today.

Father's Day for me this year wasn't only for my Earthly father on this side of the veil, but for Heavenly Father as well.

I can't drive, but I asked mom if she could take me to church yesterday for Sacrament meeting and we went. I'm glad we did.

Every time I pray, I thank Him for the countless blessings He gives, including being my Father, which to me is a blessing in itself. :)
