dahlia Posted March 4, 2012 Author Report Posted March 4, 2012 Well, it's done. I was so happy to see my elders and home teacher and his wife. There were 11 of us for lunch, so it was a full house. A member and his wife drove up one missionary and his companion; I am so happy that they took the time to do that as it made my day special to have all of my elders present at my endowment. I'm glad I didn't wait much longer as the elder who knocked on my door over a year ago is going home next week. I didn't have to be so nervous, but you don't really listen when people tell you that, because you don't know what's going to happen. Quote
talisyn Posted March 4, 2012 Report Posted March 4, 2012 congrats! you're where I want to be in a year :) Quote

So the missionary who went to the temple with you is getting sent home? What REALLY goes on in there? My dad told me about when he received his Endowments. They didn't have the Temple Prep class back then. The only thing he knew about what would happen is what his non-LDS friends told him (you can imagine their sources). Afterwards he'd smile and say, "I was a bit disappointed. I was expecting a real todo." :)Congratulations. Quote
Hala401 Posted March 4, 2012 Report Posted March 4, 2012 I am happy for you. And I do hope the best for you in your walk. I like totally just do not get the whole temple thing, so I have had to just set that on a shelf and not think of it. After being baptised 4 times, once in the Jordan River, I really like almost blew getting baptised again off, you know. Like it just seemed so silly to me. BUT, they kept telling me that it was obligatory, actuall required if I wanted Heavenly Father's blessing. So, I finally did it. Well, at least the water was warm. :) It's been over a month, and oh my gosh, happiness has invaded my heart! How could this happen? Wallah, I don't know what to do now. I had no idea that Authority was the key! So, when I finally do go to the Temple and do what ever I'm supposed to do, I wonder if Heavenly Father has something in store that I had not anticipated? Can it be more wonderful yet? Many blessings to you. Quote
dahlia Posted March 4, 2012 Author Report Posted March 4, 2012 Many blessings to you.Thank you. Something happened to me that was quite concrete - something that made one of the temple workers grab me with a big hug and for us just to stand there and stare at each other in amazement for a minute. It became clear that I was there on the right day, and that I was supposed to take this step. I hope something like that happens to you. I'm still reeling from it. Quote
classylady Posted March 4, 2012 Report Posted March 4, 2012 Wait. So the missionary who went to the temple with you is getting sent home? What REALLY goes on in there? Congratulations. Her missionary is going home, not being "sent" home. Or were you being sarcastic, and I didn't get it? Quote
