TootsieBlue Posted June 22, 2012 Report Posted June 22, 2012 Does anyone know if a Sister can hold one of these callings? ward pfr?? and sunday school President? Quote
Vort Posted June 22, 2012 Report Posted June 22, 2012 What is ward pfr? Sunday School President must be a Melchizedek Priesthood holder. Quote
trubludru Posted June 22, 2012 Report Posted June 22, 2012 pfr = Physical facilities representative - the person that is in charge of making sure the building gets locked up and cleaned (hopefully with some assignments or volunteering to other ward members) when the ward is responsible for those duties. I don't think it needs to be a man, but in most cases it ends up being that way. On my mission I believe there was a ward I served in that had a female PFR. Quote
TootsieBlue Posted June 22, 2012 Author Report Posted June 22, 2012 thanks for your help, thats great :) Quote
laydeebugg Posted June 22, 2012 Report Posted June 22, 2012 My husband is our building PFR. (I wouldn't wish that calling on ANYONE, by the way..) Not sure if it has to be a man or not. Sunday School President, yes. Quote
applepansy Posted June 22, 2012 Report Posted June 22, 2012 The person locking up the building at night doesn't have to be a PFM or male. My husband and I had that calling. The only reason they called us together is the were concerned about having a woman check an empty or partially empty building and lock up alone a night. Quote
pam Posted June 22, 2012 Report Posted June 22, 2012 To be honest, as a female, I would not want to be the one locking up the building alone later at night. I must be turning into a wimp. At one time this would not have bothered me at all, but for some reason it would now. Quote

But they still had a male (your husband) in that calling. Quote
