So what did you get for Christmas?

My hubby bought me a new camera.

My son in law gave me flowers on Christmas eve and a panting for our new house.

My youngest son gave me Martha Stewart baking book her new one.

I was so spoiled.

The best part was the out door Nativity the stake put on.

My 3 year old granddaughter was really in to it loved the angels on the roof and the donkey.

Christmas Eve I got a chapel full of Spanish-speaking inmates. The English ones misunderstood my bilingual signup, and assumed the service was in Spanish. I was never so thankful for my very mediocre high school Spanish!

My wife got me some tools (I'm not handy, but the tools are!). She also got me a massage pad--perhaps for after I use the tools. It took us three hours to put together the air hockey table we got for our girls--I was too tired to use the massage pad!

I love Christmas! I love Jesus! I love that most people (despite alleged wars on Christmas) are able to share with us the good feelings of peace and kindness, regardless of religion. I have to hope that many immigrants who come to our land become open to the gospel in large part because of the better feel that the Christian Christmas season engenders in nearly all people.

My husband gave me the cutlery set that I have been drooling over, my siblings gave me a Bosch Compact Mixer with Blender, slicer/shredder attachments. With part of my bonus from work I got the grain mill and meat/food grinder attachments to it.

As soon as it gets here - was ordered on-line after Christmas to take advantage of a great discount - I am making multi-grain bread!! Oh how I have missed home made bread, and really FRESH ground meat. Beef/Chicken/Pork and Turkey!

When the Big and Tall mens shop has their January Clearance sale, I will take the rest of my bonus to buy Hubby some clothes.

We are both spoiled!

Everything I got is stuff I can take to Iraq with me. My wife got me a very nice electric razor, and my kids got me a sweet leather journal and pens, paper and envelopes for writing letters home.

They wanted to give me things I can actually use instead of stuff I'd have to leave behind in a few weeks.

Just in case you don't like what you got....

Rules for Re-gifting. :ahhh:

http://articles.moneycentral.msn.com/Savin...ithoutFear.aspx

We only observe two rules:

1. If a gift is given, the receiver can do whatever s/he wants with it--including regifting. No offense should be taken by the original giver.

2. Rule #1 is not something to rub in the nose of a giver--be discreet!

My mum and dad gave me cash, some of which I used to purchase a CSI PC Game, and 2 books, The Innocent Man, by John Grisham, and Cross, by James Patterson.

My kids bought me a foot spa, which I haven't got round to setting up and using yet!! and Aerosmith Greatest Hits CD.

My sister bought me a nightdress.

My hubby got me an Aerogarden, which is a hydroponic garden that sits on the countertop. It came with a lettuce mix seed kit, so in 3 weeks or so I can start snipping the lettuce and we can have fresh lettuce for an entire season. Next I will try the cherry tomatoes, and coming soon are STRAWBERRIES!

I got an Xbox 360 (the one that comes with the hard drive and wireless controller) and Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter for 360.

I signed up for Xbox Live Gold yesterday.

Once again, I find myself locked inside my room for hours on end. :D

So what's your gamertag then? Mines LongWayRound.

Got any Nintendo Wii'ers here? We got that a month ago or so, as a family present. I'm not much of a gamer, but I love it. My husband is a game freak and he and our son have a blast playing it.

Nintendo, Xbox...I'm so confused. Is that like Atari?

Kind of... but WAY more advanced. Check out Wii's site: http://wii.nintendo.com/

What so cool about the Wii is that it's extremely interactive. For example, in the tennis game, you hold the controller and swing the way you would swing a raquet. There is also bowling, boxing, golf, etc. that lets you play similar to the way you really play, instead of just pushing buttons. Some of them give you a pretty good workout!

- Citizen Eco-Drive Stainless Steel watch. (very high end)

- Wahl Nose hair trimmer. (been showing more lately...)

- Half a dozen liturgical books. (still en route somewhere...probably stuck in Denver....)

- Tax, Title and License for my new '04 quad-cab Dakota. (That alone is well over a grand.)

- Laser Hair Removal for my shoulder pelt so I can go to the beach next summer and not have to shave. (Six treatments which are not cheap. )

- A few clothes (notably a tee-shirt that is probably very popular by large Latino gangsters in LA.)

But the best gift of all:

- Some pretty great memories of three little girls anticipating Santa Claus. (Especially the 2 year old whose eyes could not have been bigger on Christmas eve.)

Amen to that! My son (4) was so excited about Santa coming. The look on his face was priceless when he got up and walked into the living room. We left Santa some soup instead of cookies, and he left my son a thank-you note for the soup, saying that he was getting tired of all the junk food. He also drew a self-portrait (Santa) and told him to keep listening to his parents and to be kind to everyone, every day. My kid thought that note was the best!
