Looks like I'm moving to Vegas at the end of the year. Anything anybody can tell me about life there? We're probably going to be in the NW portion of the city, more than likely.

I've heard it's a good place to live, outside of the actual city, and there are a lot of members there. My nephew lives there, but he's in a very intense physycian's assistant program, and all he does is study, so I don't think it's any different than anywhere else for him. :)

Vegas has a sizable LDS population (or had one in the '90's, when I last visited).

If you don't mind surrounding yourself with sin, you can eat for very cheap, or even free.

You can find pornography in the gutters in the strip. (Again, or at least could in the '90's.)

NT, the pornography is still littered about the streets and in the gutters of the strip BUT at least they've started censoring it a bit. Granted, tassels don't leave much to the imagination.

 

 

OP, I like Vegas and I mean in the heart of it all but that's more of with a going out and celebrating mind set. Away from the strip, there's still lots to do and yes there are many LDS that live there.

I used to like Vegas (and I mean the Strip and the glitz and glam, etc.) Nowadays I am just uncomfortable there.
