Guest tyler21tn Posted August 26, 2013 Report Posted August 26, 2013 Has anyone read this? It is one of the first books by LDS writers I have read, and being that deep spirituality has always appealed to me, it is a very touching book to say the least. Quote
Connie Posted August 27, 2013 Report Posted August 27, 2013 This book is one of my husband's favorites. He's read it twice so far and asked me to read it. So I did, and it is a really great book. I loved it. Quote
Jenamarie Posted August 27, 2013 Report Posted August 27, 2013 I just finished reading this last week. It had a lot of good insights, and clear explanations of things I'd believed about Heavenly Father and His Plan for a long time, but I wish it had included more scriptural support for it's arguments (which I know are there), and less quotes from philosophers and poets. If someone wanted to say that the LDS view of God is a man-made view of God, this book would be a good argument in that favor, IMO. Quote
Guest LiterateParakeet Posted August 28, 2013 Report Posted August 28, 2013 I love that book. It was a great support to me during a difficult time when I couldn't find help any where else. Quote
Backroads Posted August 28, 2013 Report Posted August 28, 2013 Finished it a few weeks ago. I swear. it was like Mormonism Spirituality for Dummies. LOVED IT! Quote
Over43 Posted March 2, 2014 Report Posted March 2, 2014 I just picked it up for my Kindle. I'll check in when I am done. Quote

Floridagal Posted July 7, 2015 Report Posted July 7, 2015 Resurrecting this thread but I am about half way through this book and just have to say so far it is stunning and just what I needed to confirm so much of what I am thinking and feeling. Windseeker 1 Quote
Windseeker Posted July 7, 2015 Report Posted July 7, 2015 I really enjoyed the audio book and sometimes listen to it while long-boarding. I highlights that truth, that all of us born to this earth, no matter during what age or what culture, have an inboard compass or instinct that gently point us to the truth if we will but listen. These truths we attain have as much to do with remembering as discovering. Floridagal and Connie 2 Quote
