This should take 3-4 hours or more if I clean the pool house. Then off to the gym..by myself. My sons really did alot of work around the house. Of the above listed activities, I normally edged and blew the driveway and was done in under an hour and then we hit the gym.I need to rent some teenagers..... :)Given that I work all week and really only have Saturday as a day to do something other than work, should I pay a yard service and/or a pool service? How much is my free time worth? I have been programmed to do things like this and not hire it out....but, the day is pretty much shot once you do it especially in Florida when it is 9000 degrees and 250% humidity in July and August.I am guessing that a yard service and a pol service would run $300.00 a month or so..Any thoughts? My time and physical wellness are too valuable to me to do this kind of work, specifically without the proper tools. It doesn't cost that much, and because lawn services have the right tools and usually 2-3 guys to work at the same time, the job is done in a jiffy while you drink crystal lite on the deck. Sunday was always the worst day of the week, lousy tv, day before school, homework, early bedtime. Then you figure out how much money it will cost to make that calendar happen. Then you write out a plan on how you're going to come up with that money. This might end up with a gap between how much money you have to how much money it cost to follow the calendar. So it goes into negotiation. For example, in your calendar might be to travel the world. Negotiation might end up in traveling the USA. In your old pick-up truck. Or, it might be that you want to watch all of your grandson's baseball games,which are held on Saturdays so you hire out cutting the grass. instead, you only attend championships and spend the rest of the time mowing your own grass.This was a soon to retire people's seminar so the gist was to position your retirement income through proper investment of pensions and the like so you can afford your perfect calendar.But the guy said you can tailor this same concept to negotiate between earning money and spending money so you can get your perfect calendar for that stage of life, with an eye to planning for the future.I try to follow this concept. I don't like cleaning my house. My perfect calendar would not include that chore. But, I can earn enough money to hire out house cleaning for the same amount o time I would have spent doing it.
