Just_A_Guy Posted March 31, 2014 Report Posted March 31, 2014 So, an art history teacher at Dixie College (in Southern UT, for you non-Utahns) is doing academic research into reaction to the Church's recent article on race and the priesthood (really!), and is "looking for a broad range of Mormons to participate" (really!), and has apparently tried to reach this "broad range of Mormons" by publicizing this survey on one anti-Mormon website and one radical LDS feminist website (really!).Survey is here, if anyone would care to participate in skewing the results into something that approaches an honest-to-gosh cross section of Mormon opinion. Lakumi Posted March 31, 2014 Report Posted March 31, 2014 only reason I'd become an anti is to be able to refer to myself as a Formon Quote
The Folk Prophet Posted March 31, 2014 Report Posted March 31, 2014 (edited) So...I took it. But I doubt my responses will be understood. Per the questions about whether I'd ever seen discrimination based on Race, Gender, etc.., I marked everything. Per whether I had been discriminated against for those things I marked everything that applies to who I am (I am not disabled, or LGQBTFZW, etc.)What I wasn't able to specify is that I do feel that 95+ % or so of that discrimination is good and right. So...I'm sure he'll take my answers to support the idea that the church is evil. Good luck with that Mr. Art History guy. Edited March 31, 2014 by church Typo. Said "do not" instead of "do". Quote

jerome1232 Posted April 2, 2014 Report Posted April 2, 2014 But a Formon is For Mormon... not anti. Right? :) I was thinking former mormon, but you wouldn\'t have to be an anti for that title. Quote

Not allowed to be in nursery until you are 18 months? Not allowed to go on a full time mission because you aren\'t old enough? Age based discrimination baby! The Folk Prophet 1 Quote

Soon they\'ll be marching on church headquarters with toddlers in hand.Well...except the whole work for the dead theory kind of eliminates the problems with age related discriminations. Sort of. I mean, a 12 year old can\'t be the president of the church. And that\'s, decidedly, unfair. Quote
