Aang1 Posted July 15, 2007 Report Posted July 15, 2007 --Rules-- One person make a cryptic message, then someone tries to make it a bit clearer based on what they think it means, but still pretty cryptic, then the next person does the same clarifying. Hilarity ensues. I'll start: The yawning pigeon eating bread knees peeks the cacophony of the raving statue with smiler in hand wielding brawny ostentatious granules of unyielding caucuses melding the colorful dingadoo with the flibaflab within the quarters of dromedaries Quote

Dr T Posted July 15, 2007 Report Posted July 15, 2007 Ditto. Maybe start with an easier one until we get the hang of it Aang Quote
pushka Posted July 15, 2007 Report Posted July 15, 2007 Whatever happened to that other online game, where one person had killed another, and each person on the forum takes on a character of their own, trying to guess who was the culprit? Sorry if that isn't a very clear explanation, has the member who tried to start that game left the site now? Quote
Guest Yediyd Posted July 15, 2007 Report Posted July 15, 2007 That was Orin Jelo and I think there was not enough interest so it just fizzled out. Quote
orrinjelo Posted July 15, 2007 Report Posted July 15, 2007 I'm still here. And another cryptic message game....hmm.... gimme some time with this one. Quote
pam Posted July 15, 2007 Report Posted July 15, 2007 This game requires way too much thinking for me. Quote

I'll clarify... the post is saying:While at BYU I was an NCAA competitive swimmer. I was not as naturally buoyant and gifted as some of the other swimmers, so to give myself a competitive edge I would boil the blood of monkeys and drink it from a mason jar. In 2004 I took second at Nationals in the 100 meter butterfly.Right? Quote
pam Posted July 15, 2007 Report Posted July 15, 2007 Uhhh sure Snow...that's right. You are GOOD!!!! Quote
Dr T Posted July 15, 2007 Report Posted July 15, 2007 It was the "butterfly" part that threw me off. Darn, I was so close. Snow, you are good. Quote
pam Posted July 15, 2007 Report Posted July 15, 2007 Okay but one part I'm confused on. Where do the dromedaries come in? Was it monkeys or camels? Quote

Was it monkeys or camels?Remember, this is a "crytpic" challenge.Obviously "dromedaries' refers to the perception of elation that the Mormon Battalion soldiers experienced as they built the very first Volvos without artificial intelligence. Guest Yediyd Posted July 15, 2007 Report Posted July 15, 2007 Thanks, Snow....for clearing things up for me... Quote
pam Posted July 15, 2007 Report Posted July 15, 2007 Ahhh that makes more sense to me now. I really had been thinking it meant the high elevation of the Andes mountains as the man named Horse that has no Name searched for the ever elusive stones. Quote
