Hey!

I'm going to take my baptism on the 11th April and I have a couple of questions.

Does the confirmation take place on the same day?

I cant find any information on it.

What is meant my Sunday Best?

Does it mean a suit or just a shirt and tie, or does it just mean clean clothing.

Thanks for all your help!

Usually the confirmation takes place on the same day, and Sunday best is something nice you'd wear to church. A shirt and tie is plenty. :) Congratulations!

Usually the confirmation takes place on the same day,

This sounds a little unexpected. Several years ago we used to do confirmations on the same day as baptisms, but now that only happens for children of record. For converts, the confirmation takes place during sacrament meeting on the Sunday immediately following the baptism. I believe the change came about in response to changes in Handbook 1 although I'm completely certain about that.

Sunday best can be taken to mean your best clothes, perhaps what you might wear to a really nice restaurant, or a formal occasion where you wanted to look good, but without going over the top. Formal but not fancy.

Sunday Best is Eowyn stated. If your best is a clean shirt, a clean shirt will do. If you own a tie, it would be appropriate. If you own a suit, it would be appropriate. No-one will judge your clothes, so don't let it hinder your participation at church.

You will find that your life is now going to significantly improve and you will soon enjoy finding your best to wear on Sundays.

Hi,

what a great decision you made!  I am so excited for you! My baptism was on a Saturday and my confirmation the next day during sacrament meeting.  Your "Sunday best" are your regular Church clothes. Keep in mind, that you will have to change...

Ask the missionaries, if you need to bring a towel. We had towels and socks at our stake center available.

Congrats on your baptism! For me Sunday best was a pair of khaki pants and a polo shirt, because at the time I did not own a suit or white shirt. My baptism was also on a Saturday and my confirmation was on Sunday. But we have also had baptisms and confirmations done the same day if they were performed by someone that does not attend our Branch.

I'm just wondering why this question wasn't asked before, especially, when you're already at the stage of being baptised? Seems like you should have had some sort of idea by this point? Was this conversation not ever brought up by missionaries or ward leaders/members?
