Doctor Steuss Posted August 1, 2007 Report Posted August 1, 2007 http://www.earlychristianwritings.com/ -- Gives dating, synopsis, and sources for various early Christian writings.http://www.earlyjewishwritings.com/ -- Not as good as "earlychristianwriting" in regards to dating, etc., but it does give good overviews and information for various early Jewish texts.KJV Online Lexicon -- The NT is a bit harder to navigate than the OT, but an easy and simple tool to find out what the Hebrew and Greek means (Warning though, it relies on "Strongs" which isn't necessarily the best out there).http://www.boap.org/LDS/Early-Saints/ -- Journals and Autobiographies of early LDS members.http://www.tyndale.cam.ac.uk//Scriptures/ -- List of the various English Bibles as well as analysis of the contradictions between them.Enjoy! :) Quote

I had no idea it was here. I'm babbling aren't I? I'm so excited to see this! ElphabaI'm pretty sure it's been up for quite a while. The main page (http://www.boap.org/) can take you to the other gems on the site which include (bolded what I think you might be interested in... as you seem to be a history buff):Annotated Joseph Smith HistoryThe Parallel Joseph (known sources of Joseph Smith's public teachings)Documents of the Early Christian Church and other ancient textsNibley on the Facsimiles Apostasy Papers ...and so on, and so on.But, you just can't beat the journals IMO.Stay tuned, maybe I'll give you some more Christmas in a couple of days (don't want to show all of my Aces quite yet). Elphaba Posted August 1, 2007 Report Posted August 1, 2007 You're correct, Dr. Mormon history is my passion. In fact, I have already read a number of these journals. I've just never seen them all together in one site like this. Or at least not so many of them. And thank you for all the additional links. Actually I've never been sure if I could trust an internet site or not, unless it was from the Utah Historical Society, or something like that. Most of the journals I've read have been from books, particularly from the Daughters from the Utah Pioneers, the Utah Historical Society, and the transcripts of the individual journals, that sort of thing. So that's why I'm so excited to see this. Really, I feel like a pig in mud right now! Elphaba Quote

CrimsonKairos Posted August 2, 2007 Report Posted August 2, 2007 Strawberry and I have a code worked out. Whenever she replies with just a emoticon, it really means, "I agree." So that's three votes for banning Ben and Palerider. Duh, duh, duh! Quote
CrimsonKairos Posted August 2, 2007 Report Posted August 2, 2007 Nah, we'd never wanna lose Ben or Pale. Even if they tease Pam about her age (which I still don't know...wanna PM me Pam? ). Quote
