Prior to my join the church i was a pack a day smoker. After several deep meetings with 2 bishops they arrived at the conclusion that as long as i am not using nicotine in it, it falls in the safe category.  I know some people will disagree with the conclusion but compared to me prior to joining its lessor of 2 evils.

The lesser of two evils, yes.  The lesser two evils is still evil.

If you have a hundred bishops that say something is safe just because it doesn't contain nicotine, you have a hundred incorrect bishops.   Of course there's a problem with that conclusion.

I understand step-down drugs, I understand weaning yourself off of cigarettes.  There are some studies pointing to the possibility that vaping might be effective in helping people quit smoking.  You say it was in your case, so that's a win.

Other sources point to vaping as a gateway to smoking.

And we just don't yet fully understand the health risks of vaping.  Does it increase the risk of heart disease? How addictive is it?  Does it harm developing fetuses?  Or developing brains of youth?  What sorts of substances are being inhaled?

Yeah, there's much more here than just "No nicotine?  No problem!"

So, there was this dude who was dressed very smartly with a stylish haircut who vaped inside the theater.  My husband up and told him, we don't want to see smoke in our movie.  He put it away.  My husband complimented him on his nice outfit and hair style.  My husband is an awesome and courageous guy.

Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.

See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.

Rejoice evermore.

Pray without ceasing.

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Quench (hinder) not the Spirit.

Despise not prophesyings.

Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

Abstain from all appearance of evil.

And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
