Road Trip Audio Mix

On our recent vacation (which required a road trip) we had the scriptures on CD, a movie in the back seat,  and the GPS audio on all at the same time.  It is usually pretty loud and may be considered chaotic.  But we're somewhat used to it now. 

We had an interesting sequence of audio that I thought I'd both share with you and augment with my imagination.

Movie: And just how are we supposed to get there?

CD: And the angel of the Lord said unto them

GPS: At the next street, turn right.

Movie: They're babies they don't listen to anybody.

CD: Now when I had spoken these words, they were yet wroth , and did still continue to murmur.  Nevertheless, they did

GPS: Follow the ramp to I-35 North.

Movie: I've come a long way to save my people and my friends.

CD: And I was led by the Spirit, not knowing beforehand

GPS: In 5 miles

CD:  Keep the commandments of God.

Movie:  I will do everything in my power to do so.

CD: I was constrained by the Spirit that I should

GPS: keep right to Kansas Turnpike.

My text message ringtone is Chewbacca's growl, and it plays through the car speakers when I have bluetooth on. One day I stopped into work real quick to drop something off. I left my car running. My phone was in my pocket, but still "in range". Just as I'm about to leave, a guy walks in and says, "Dude, I think your car just growled at me". True story.

My text ringtone is the minions laughing.  On more then one occasion I have heard a kid suddenly yell out, "minions!"

My ringtone is a message that I recorded myself. It goes like this:

(My name) this is your phone ringing. Someone's trying to phone you. (Pause). It's still ringing. Perhaps you should answer it. Or you could just let it ring through to the voicemail, its up to you. I'm ready to do whatever you want. 

I've received a few odd looks when others hear it.
