Still_Small_Voice Posted May 11, 2018 Report Posted May 11, 2018 I wish they would look into nuclear Thorium as a power source. They ran nuclear reactors on it in the past. We have far far more of Thorium than Uranium in the United States. Refined Uranium is also more expensive than Platinum or Gold. (Gold is trading at about $1,320 per 31.1 grams on 5-11-2018.) I also heard that if they re-process Uranium they can use it again for more electric power generation. In the nuclear process only 10% of the Uranium is used up and then they just put it in to permanent storage to rest for thousands of years. What a waste of Uranium and money in my opinion. Quote
