person0 Posted March 9, 2018 Report Posted March 9, 2018 (edited) Family scripture studies tonight was in Alma 30, reading of Alma questioning Korihor. When Korihor said he would not believe in God unless Alma showed him a sign, I asked my children what Korihor wanted before he was willing to believe. My oldest daughter (age 8) correctly answered that he wanted a sign, and then proceeded to suggest Alma show him a stop sign. Ignoring the fact that Korihor already actually believed God was real. It just might have been enough! At least in consideration of the following 'realistic' period based estimation. Edited March 9, 2018 by person0 anatess2, CV75, lostinwater and 2 others 3 2 Quote
Fether Posted March 9, 2018 Report Posted March 9, 2018 (edited) Or maybe, like in this example, a time signature would be appropriate to show Korihor. “O ye hypocrites, ...can ye not discern the sign[atures] of the times?” - MATT 16:3 maybe Korihor was singing in 3/4 when he should be in 2/4??? Hence why he was struck dumb and could no longer talk or sing! Edited March 9, 2018 by Fether person0 1 Quote

Hah! Children have the ability to highlight the oddities of language, for sure. But sounds like a girl with a healthy streak of independent and extremely honest thinking - which is a mark of good parenting. anatess2 and person0 2 Quote
wenglund Posted March 9, 2018 Report Posted March 9, 2018 Here is another, and perhaps better sign for Korihor: Thanks, -Wade Eng;und Quote
