Lost Boy Posted June 11, 2018 Report Posted June 11, 2018 How do you like the new format of discussions in priesthood /relief society? My experience has been pretty positive. Today I had to lead. I ended up preparing 5-6 questions. And that took 40 minutes of time with the members bearing testimony of past experiences and what not. I do kind of feel a little weird just standing up there not talking, but I don't mind that much. Quote

Yup, I am attending and being a faithful Latter-Day Saint! :) That's pretty much how the teachers in our ward were teaching back when I was first attending. I am glad it is official now. seashmore 1 Quote
Jane_Doe Posted June 11, 2018 Report Posted June 11, 2018 Our ward loves it. So much so that every Priesthood and RS lesson is taught that way, and every Sunday School lesson too. I feel it really gives me an opportunity to get to know people better, and have meaningful and less scripted discussions. We're hear to learn from each other and feel the spirit together-- not to read the manual, I can do that on my own time! seashmore 1 Quote
zil Posted June 11, 2018 Report Posted June 11, 2018 We've been doing it this way in all adult meetings for as long as I can remember - I assume for as long as I've been living here. It's how I've always taught. Quote
