Azaerino Posted December 19, 2007 Report Posted December 19, 2007 Do you think that people suffering from Vitiligo, is because God has forgiven them? Quote
Canuck Mormon Posted December 19, 2007 Report Posted December 19, 2007 That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. It's a skin condition, not caused because God has forgiven them. Quote

tiancum Posted December 19, 2007 Report Posted December 19, 2007 I believe that a sure sign that God has forgiven us is that he tells us, "i have forgiven you". He might do this audibly, through a leader,or through an outward sign. It will be significant for the recipient, and may not to others. Whether something is an answer to prayers or not is not our place to judge, it is up to you to decide. Quote
Azaerino Posted December 19, 2007 Author Report Posted December 19, 2007 I though LDS people believed that black skin was a curse from God, because of what Cain did to Abel Quote
tiancum Posted December 19, 2007 Report Posted December 19, 2007 I though LDS people believed that black skin was a curse from God, because of what Cain did to Abel Nope, read the OT again. Exactly what it says, we believe.I thought your question was sincere. I didn't know you were mocking us. That'll teach me. Quote

Alaskagain Posted December 19, 2007 Report Posted December 19, 2007 Hmmm. Prolonged ingestion of fluoridated water may cause spots of skin to lose their pigmentation, producing lighter skin color than the surrounding areas. Therefore, LDS scientists must have been inspired to convince a lot of communities to introduce fluoride into our drinking water under the guise of protecting our teeth from cavities, so that over the years we would lighten up. Get real. edited: to correct the spelling of "floridated" --except in the case of Miami's and Orlando's water systems. Quote

Canuck Mormon Posted December 19, 2007 Report Posted December 19, 2007 It would be great if you stuck around and asked questions about our faith. I just get a little sick and tired of the "typical anti-mormon" questions. Can you understand my frustration? We'll be glad to try and answer questions you have. Quote

john doe Posted December 19, 2007 Report Posted December 19, 2007 I though LDS people believed that black skin was a curse from God, because of what Cain did to AbelYou thought wrong. BTW, the Southern Poverty Law Center is not exactly the best place to get information about LDS beliefs. And Warren Jeffs has no connection to the LDS church other than a similar name for his church. Moksha Posted December 20, 2007 Report Posted December 20, 2007 It is terribly unfortunate that skin color ever got associated with righteousness. However, we should do all that we can to distance ourselves from such an awful idea. Skin color has nothing whatsoever to do with curses. We need to acknowledge that and repudiate any claims to the contrary. Quote
