zil2 Posted September 5, 2024 Report Posted September 5, 2024 So, I went searching for more printable puzzles (cuz I have too many pens inked) and came across these "Printable puzzles for seniors". Most are awfully simple, but some are entertaining. Anywho, there's one, currently in the top row, called "Pyramid Match" (link will open a PDF). They claim this is the solution (spoiler alert!). But I'm crying foul. I could not see it, so I printed the PDF, cut out the template, folded it into a pyramid, and it does not match the target! (I can explain in more detail.) Will someone please let me know if I'm an idiot who should be applying for disability, or if I'm right, and none of those templates, not even the "solution" folds into the intended pyramid? @Carborendum - this seems like the sort of thing you would excel at... Thanks to anyone who restores my sense of sanity (or proves that I've lost my brain somewhere). Quote

But none of them display the pattern on the left-hand side. At that point, the order or arrangement don't matter. #5 shows the upper red triangle as the mirror image of what would be required. They're wrong. zil2 and Vort 1 1 Quote

(Why, oh why, can these puzzle makers not proof their puzzles!? ) Carborendum 1 Quote
mordorbund Posted September 7, 2024 Report Posted September 7, 2024 Looking for more puzzles, eh? Here's a pizza puzzle (logic): https://gamesworldofpuzzles.com/february-9-pizza-day/ And here's an Easter Bunny-themed logic/math puzzle: https://gamesworldofpuzzles.com/march-29-mr-e-bunny/ You can find a greater variety here: https://gamesworldofpuzzles.com/category/puzzles/ (first page is mostly trivia... skip ahead to page 2 for the pencil puzzles) Quote
JohnsonJones Posted September 7, 2024 Report Posted September 7, 2024 Looks like a Trick Question. If they had the Triangles that go across the pyramid correctly, it would be one thing, but all of the choices have one side where the triangles go in the same direction rather than opposite directions of each other. It is technically possible to print this, so I'll bookmark them for the next time I run out and need more puzzles. Thanks! Quote

Yep. Not a trick question (not intentional), but just poor QC on their puzzles (or so I believe). Quote
