Provoke not to wrath, nurture and admonition?
Hemidakota replied to a topic in Scripture Study Forum
Your link is Enos not Ephesians. Paul's writing reminds me of the verse in D&C 68:25, "And again, inasmuch as parents have children in Zion, or in any of her stakes which are organized, that teach them not to understand the doctrine of repentance, faith in Christ the Son of the living God, and of baptism and the gift of the Holy Ghost by the laying on of the hands, when eight years old, the sin be upon the heads of the parents." Emphasis is on home gospel instructions, which the General Authorities throughout time since Joseph Smith instructs us as parents to teach and raise our children love, and raise up them with nurture and admonition of the Lord. The prophet Joseph Smith received this revelations that us, as parents, "...bring up your children in light and truth" [D&C 93:40] and teach them "to understand the doctrine of repentance, faith in Christ the Son of the living God, and baptism and the gift of the Holy Ghost" [D&C 68:25]; and "to pray, and to walk uprightly before the Lord" [D&C 68:28]. President Young urged parents to take the time to "call their families together...teach them the principles of the gospel." [MFP 2:288] -

To Rebuild America After The Cleansing

According Elder Ludlow, President Woodruff had that vision and not President Taylor. See his June 15, 1878 entry, as he wrote about Isaiah 4:1. -
Awesome...congrats on your parenting skills and your son in choosing the right.

I do believe it is so. Even the Savior doesn't know of the hour but knows the period or time frame. His army must be prepare and others need to be in the position prior to His coming.

We are beyond that since we a TeraBit processor under development [super Computers]. Not only that, we are entering into what is called Organic Computers and Photon Computers. Let see which one will be on the street first.

The group will compose of both the living and the dead that will be a special resurrection. The two prophets [two bulls] as I received back my question [past questioning] from President Kimball, were two apostles of the church.

Now we know the true character Kona. You are indeed a gifted man. Prepare your soul to meet your God and Savior. Your own desire will be answer in due time when you are ready to make that greater change to your life. God bless friend.

Beside what is already said, I would ask to fast a day out and live like a missionary for that time frame. Why? Your spirit will need some attuning to the PB and what will be said. Remember my dear sister, there are times when a Patriarch will answer the desire of your heart and not be recorded. That is between the God and you. You will need a someone, close family, to be there for you to ensure anything you don't remember can be backed up. I have found that when a person expressed there own desires when the Patriarch ask questions, express to him your desires. You will be surprised.

I have, twice a year. My own requirement and placed upon my own children to have an understanding of whom receives what. In the end, each tribe will have its own collection of books that pertains to that tribe and dealinigs with Deity. Then there other lost sheep that will bring forth their works to add to the ever growing testimony of Christ. So, do not limited yourself and think that the Hebrews or Tribe of Judah is the only tribe on this earth have the privilidge of the Jesus Christ as their Savior or the written word.

Buffets of Satan. He will have to pay... I am sure that in the end, you will have that companion you once had in the beginning. For now, he needs to help back to the 'path'. Fast and pray on a continous basis to bring back the spirit into your home. We are here for you.

Yes and how many tribes of Jacob [israel] are there? Do you not think that God dealt with the other tribes beside Judah?

Concur. Our testimony is not based on some DNA research but what is asked to Deity concerning thr turthfullness of this book.

Ryan Anderson | University Advancement Elder W. Craig Zwick, of the First Quorum of the Seventy, urged students to better build their lives on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ in his devotional address at BYU-Hawaii on April 15, and offered suggestions on “creating and strengthening a sure foundation.” Sister Zwick spoke first and shared a short story about their son, Scott, who is mentally handicapped. Despite his disability, she said Scott loves talking with everyone, and especially sharing the gospel. “Don’t limit yourselves by what you think is your capacity, but let the Lord expand it, and He will,” she encouraged. Elder Zwick followed with advice and a series of questions to help guide students in their spiritual lives. For example, he told of taking a road trip with Scott who, after remaining unusually quiet and pensive, asked, “Dad, do you know Jesus?” Elder Zwick taught why this was a profound question and shared its importance. “A powerful question,” he said, “powerful to recognize that part of life’s purpose and the fullness of joy that we can experience here in mortality has so much to do with knowing Jesus.” With Scott’s question as a starting platform, Elder Zwick weaved through other questions to provoke self-reflection, including: What is a sure foundation? How can we build our lives upon a sure foundation of Christ? How do you feel when you are obedient? Before Elder Zwick was called as a general authority, he pointed out he owned a commercial construction company that was contracted to build the Portland, Oregon Temple. As work on the foundation of the temple was to begin, Portland received its worst rainstorm in history, prompting alterations to the building plans. Pilings had to be drilled down to the bedrock layer, to secure the foundation. “That adjustment was critical,” Elder Zwick said. “I submit this morning that now may be the time for you to make, even if they are minor, adjustments in your own foundation, such that you might be so properly anchored, that your pattern of integrity and your pattern of structural design spiritually will never fall.” “Some of the ways you might decide today to strengthen your foundation might be as simple as to complete your education, to not waver, to not just take it one course at a time without a clearly defined ending point of performance. Maybe that would include a slight adjustment to your foundation that would include better use of the day. Maybe it would include something along the lines of a better work habit or better study habits.” Elder Zwick focused on several critical requirements needed to to create and strengthen sure foundations built upon the Savior: • Seek the companionship of the Holy Ghost.“The key element is to listen,” he said. “The Holy Ghost gives insightful understanding into the attributes of Jesus Christ, and as you listen and study more, you will gain an even greater witness of the Savior.” • Nurture your faith with daily prayer and scripture study. “I am grateful that in the fifth chapter of John, in verse 39, we get clear instruction: Search the scriptures, for in them ye think ye have eternal life and they are they which testify of me. Once again, the Savior’s own indication for making an adjustment: search the scriptures,” he continued. He also explained we can do this just as the people of Zarahemla in the third chapter of Helaman gained a firm testimony and a “purifying and sanctification” of heart through constant prayer and scripture study. • Keep the commandments. “Know that you know what is expected of you, and then as you gain deeper insight as to what is required, be prepared and qualified to follow that direction. You will become more like Him as you keep the commandments,” Elder Zwick said. “I know that there are temptations all around us here… We must, however, be faithful, and must cure our own foundation, that is, prepare our own foundation by worthily partaking of the Sacrament each week.” • Follow the prophets. “It has been all of our sacred privilege these past few weeks as we shared in a solemn assembly, raising arms in the Priesthood quorums and in bodies of women and men all over the globe supporting President Thomas Spencer Monson as Prophet, Seer and Revelator, supporting Henry B. Eyring and Dieter F. Uchtdorf, supporting President Boyd Kenneth Packer as President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, and all other members… Together we know that the Lord has prepared these 15 men. I witness that’s true.” “I return to the question, Dad, do you know Jesus? Yes, Scott, I know my Savior, with fervency of heart, my trusted brothers and sisters of this very, very special land. Represented in you are cultures and communities from all over this globe. I join with you: Yes, I know my savior. And this morning I bear witness to you that he lives and knows you.” [Ref: ]Na Leo Ho'omaluhia -Photo by Monique Saenz

As I was answering another thread, I was reminded of this saying by the Prophet Joseph Smith [DHC 3:380] "...after a person has faith in Christ, repents of his sins< and is baptized for the remission of his sins and receives the Holy Ghost, [by the laying on of hands] which is the First Comforter, then let him continue to humble himself before God, and the Lord will soon say unto him, Son, thou shalt be exalted. When the Lord has thoroughly proved him and finds that the man is determined to serve him at all hazards, then the man will find his calling and his election made sure, then it will be his privilege to receive the other Comforter..."

True. Our learning abilities must come in this life and we must always push forward our gospel knowledge to the best of our abilities. Tom, if one would follow the precepts of what you have listed, the journey begins on knowing the Holy Ghost and having the anchor of ‘hope’. We must be familiar with this Godhood character and know Him personally. To make Him not only our gifted comforter, but have Him as our friend. Stepping stones Tom, to what comes next. Not only He will offer the Savior in person when the Savior calls His own, or a voice for those non-members, but make that ‘sure’ confirmation to the spirit. Stepping stones….after which, we have the privy to ministering of spirits over our lifetime and doctrine that is hid from the wold. Now, when I read of Hebrews verse 19, I see the anchor of one’s soul is ‘hope’. Paul was a man of hope. This faithful and steadfast servant of Christ who had black hair, olive complexion, worn face, and not very imposing height of five feet tall, at times, his voice was like thunder when moved upon by the Holy Spirit. Paul realized the word’s true meaning – hope -. Why? He made fifty-two of the New Testaments that was canonized by the Pagans, fifty nine references on this word. Looking at Paul’s writing and Moroni, we can surely obtain “…a better world, yea, even a place at the right hand of God [Ether 12:4]. Hope for me, is a strong desire that Heavenly Father does answer as with Lehi, whom seek to be like Moses [you are not going to find this in BOM]. Did the Lord answer that desire? Yes! Our hope that leads to those desires, if become a anchor in our lives, we can surely expect an answer when the Father is ready. Now, I have hope that we can all come to know the character of Deity in this probation.

Alcohol and the Words of Wisdom

Was it revelation that was alter or one mans thoughts transponse on paper or in a speech. At times, I converse a thought to the keyboard to another person and feel the Holy Spirit. Is that revelation or doctrine? What is our life styles [daily habits that are not in comformance with Deity]? Our level of faith? What is our true desires? Is our kneeling prayers bouncing off the ceiling? Are we spiritual mature enough to hear the answer? Are we impatience on waiting for the answer since it never comes on your time. Something to think about. -
Whoa...Swiss? That is awesome. Welcome.
