Yes! I do remember the garment lengths were changed from the beginning to now where the Military is allowed to wear spandex version for pants.

With your first sentence, not everyone is privy on what transpired for the Prophet Spencer W. Kimball. Even former prophets asked the Lord to remove the priesthood ban. If you research it out in the church writings, you find some interesting revelations concerning the response. Now with President Kimball, he received moving long-term promptings in 1977 concerning this issue. He approached the Quorum of Twelve and asked each of them for next year to contemplate about the restoration of the Priesthood to the children of Cain. This was a year out remember. Though, it was much earlier than that for Kimball in receiving those promptings. This is nothing knew for the Lord to move in this type of teaching moment. Though with Joseph Fielding Smith, it was quite the opposite where he was told not now. Yes! The Lord allows it priesthood to move independent of the Godhead but they are still in unison as to the gospel. The method employed by Deity from time-to-time, remains very allusive for me since I used to be literalist and now amen to that belief. lol What we think is correct, if not, will be corrected.

On the other hand, these prophets who allegorical use Olive trees maybe have depth in their uses as a tree husbandmen. Do you remember hearing about the Eagle and the Chickens allegory story? -
Alma 12:1-19 Point 3: The Spectrum of Godly Mysteries
Hemidakota replied to MaidservantX's topic in Scripture Study Forum
Since it is the correct forum, I have no problem. To become unlearn is usually stems from those who eventually apostasy from the truth. Though, I do agree. We have the sincere desire to know about the Creation, it is not only given to Moses, Abraham, Joseph Smith. Brother of Jared, Enoch, Nephi, and few more, we can obtain it. Sad part, it is hard not to write about and commanded not to do so. Sharing it is quite harder since many 'eyes are close' to this wondrous knowledge and care not to learn more than what is written. It also can be disturbing if we are not mature enough to receive it . Yet, the Lord may impart mysteries early in life, that it may take a lifetime to come to a full understanding of its meaning. -
Tell her and not him. Salvation is more important than lust or desire of lust. That is not true love. Lust is only temporal and love is eternal. Yes! Harsh words but in the end, just not worth it. Seen to many young people loose their eternal prospect than to enjoy life to the fullest. As skalenfehl's Avatar skalenfehl advised, enjoy life while in your youth and not to date [date leaves to problem in early portion of life] but have fun. Now, you have free agency but again, I caution you on your choices. As Iggy pointed out, read the article, it maybe helpful.

The Joseph Smith Papers

Something I said earlier, Lehi had a desire to be like Moses. Seeing this 'Pillar of Fire', Moses received the same. Interesting. -
Do you think that God once was a man?
Hemidakota replied to Mullenite's topic in Christian Beliefs Board
Genesis, plurality was used [we, our]. It denotes more than one person was involved in the creational process. Creation or cloning Himself a likeness and thus Adam was born to the world, another overlooked fact. Even Stephen viewed the heavenly scene and saw Christ and the FATHER together. It goes on and on.... What is the glory of GOD? Sidenote - As we gazed into the Heavens above, there are 15-mega galaxies that obit the center of this Universe. 15…see a number pattern here? Yes, there will be 'claimed' Astro-physics scientists that may chime in to know how and why there is only 15. However, they need to look from the outside to view it as a whole. -
Do you think that God once was a man?
Hemidakota replied to Mullenite's topic in Christian Beliefs Board
Affirmative. Though, a major issue with individuals who fight against the truth or the gospel in telling people not to pray. A classic example is the Lighthouse Ministry out of Texas. After long lengthy discussion, they finally post that prayer will not answer what Moroni talked about. Total arrogance for a new-age Christians. As Traveler said, Jesus was once a man. So were all the GODS that have human form. -
You didn't and I do welcome correction.

Let me know thoughts also, when you find sometime concerning "G7" group as a possibility. -
The only addition, in searching for that truth, use the Holy Spirit and prayer as a guide as Moroni directed.

Validate point. But what contradicts the Bible. I for one, don't require the prophets to tell me that GOD physically is a man. -
Have you ever noticed when giving a talk, feeling the Holy Spirit several times for confirmation to one or several members in the audience, one needs to sleep afterwards?

Sidenote for future callings that will enlarge the Seventies: If you look closer, you find these are Seventies. I do assume since the Prophet Joseph Smith is the head of this dispensation, it will be under his hand to ensure that all are called for Christ [prior to his death and afterwards] - as His standing missionary army. I will also assume, those living in Morality will be visited by JS for more instruction prior to their calling. As Elder Lund pointed out:

Alma 12:1-19 Point 2: The Two Powers
Hemidakota replied to MaidservantX's topic in Scripture Study Forum
Repetitions in the Book of Mormon emphasize the law of witnesses at work within the book. This law is found in Nephi's testimony that he joined Isaiah and his brother Jacob in seeing the Redeemer: "Wherefore, by the words of three, God hath said, I will establish my word. Nevertheless, God sendeth more witnesses, and he proveth all his words" (2 Ne. 11:3). Again, Nephi quotes the Lord as saying, "Know ye not that the testimony of two nations is a witness unto you that I am God, that I remember one nation like unto another?" (2 Ne. 29:8). Near the end of the book, Moroni reaffirms the law of witnesses when he says, "And in the mouth of three witnesses shall these things be established; and the testimony of three, and this work, in the which shall be shown forth the power of God and also his word, of which the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost bear record-and all this shall stand as a testimony against the world at the last day" (Ether 5:4). Further, the repetitions underscore the relevance of one character or action to people living in a different time. Many persons and actions typify or foreshadow later persons and actions. For example, at one point when his life is threatened, Nephi commands his brothers that they not touch him, for, he says, "I am filled with the power of God, even unto the consuming of my flesh; and whoso shall lay his hands upon me shall wither even as a dried reed" (1 Ne. 17:48). Standing before a hostile king and his court, the prophet Abinadi similarly says, "Touch me not, for God shall smite you if ye lay your hands upon me, for I have not delivered the message which the Lord sent me to deliver" (Mosiah 13:3). Abinadi's face shines "with exceeding luster, even as Moses' did while in the mount of Sinai, while speaking with the Lord” (Mosiah 13:5). This heavenly transfiguration is repeated in the shining faces of the brothers Nephi and Lehi held in prison (Hel. 5:36) and climaxed in the description of the resurrected Jesus: "and the light of his countenance did shine upon them" (3 Ne. 19:25). -
