  1. We are promised eternal joy in the Celestial Kingdom. If polygamy is asked of us, it won't pain us like it does here on earth.
  2. You've made some pretty large statements. What is your sources for the bold lines? The church has a patriarchal order, I highly doubt that polyandry will ever be commanded. I voted 'yes' I could live it, but I wouldn't want to destroy my marriage to my first wife over it. It'd be tough.
  3. Yes, Lutheran said it better than I did. I meant to imply to tell the daughter that some people disagree with us, and that's okay. We love everyone.
  4. I'm sorry to hear about your struggles Lost, and Lost Sheep. All I offer is, think of how good you feel about yourself when you successfully resist temptation. Write down how proud you are of yourself, and how good you feel. Also, when you give in and sin, write down how disappointed and bad you feel after. Before coming close to giving into a temptation, read your writings and think back to how you feel AFTER you've sinned, or how you feel AFTER you successfully resists temptation. I think this could help give some foresight to the action when struggling with temptation. Hope this helps.
  5. My first reaction after reading your story was anger - but after thinking about it, you should just tell your children that everyone has different beliefs, and some belief bad things of us.... but that we're all God's children and he loves all of us, even your neighbors. You should just be the most pleasant and nice people to your neighbors. Be a good example.
  6. I think you should go to school with your friend and go on a mission. I don't see that as being cowardly at all. Also, I don't see a mission as a last resort for women. If that's what you want to do, and you want to serve, then make that a top priority in your life.
  7. haha i've seen that before.
  8. So sorry to hear the news. My prayers are with your family.
  9. I'm sorry to hear about your ex - that's a rough situation. I think you should make a strong effort to meet new women. Travel to wherever you have to to attend single adult activities. Meeting a new woman, and having a new love interest, in my opinion, would greatly help you overcome your feelings about your ex. You need someone new to focus on.
  10. I have no idea how to sing. Anyone want to teach me how?
  11. I have no idea what any of you are talking about.
  12. Don't convert unless you have a testimony of the truthfulness of it. If you have a testimony of it, then you'll want to participate in the activities whether or not you like organized religion, IMO.
  13. It was over 100 in Norcal - send some rain my way. A few weeks ago it rained, though. Weird!
  14. Yeah, I'd like to see some of your work.
  15. Good job! That's awesome!
  16. As he was walking off stage, a backdrop was lowering and it caught him right in the head and close-lined him LOL!
  17. Sorry to hear about this - will pray!
  18. You have so much time to work for a mission, if that is your desire. I suggest going to a community college and attending institute. It's a real testimony builder.
  19. I believe you're talking about Thurl Bailey. It's a fantastic talk Lovely, try to watch it if you can.
  20. I agree that a mission helps build testimonies of the missionaries' themselves - but I believe more than anything they're out there for others.
  21. The book is about a 103 year old pedophile vampire
