Thanks for that! -
I agree with all of the above! I've thought about that many times!

Great post. Thanks. -
I agree. Those who truly expect more of us will not delight in pointing out that a criminal is LDS.... but those who like to say "Ooh look at the religious person, who is supposed to be so righteous, look at him commit a crime and be so hypocritical!".

Kidnapped woman hidden in CA backyard for 18 years
StallionMcBeastly replied to bytor2112's topic in Current Events
I live very close to the city this happened in so I've read up on it. Absolutely sick. Imagine watching your daughter being snatched away in a car and being able to do nothing to stop it? I can only imagine the terror and sickness Jaycee's parents endured... and all because of Philip Garrido and his wife. IMHO, they both should be executed ASAP. -
Good post!

To All former Evangelicals/Protestants

I don't believe that's what he was implying. He was saying that although the Word of God was inspired, it can still be 90% accurate - a man can be inspired of God and create a work that isn't perfect. Not that God only inspired them 90%.... Correct me if I'm wrong, ram. -
Welcome! I'm north of SF about 45 min

Makes me so angry they're getting tax dollars! It just blows my mind that the two women wouldn't even bat an eye when they said they were bringing in 15 year old girls to be prostitutes. What disgusting human beings. ACORN needs to be investigated NOW.

You must tell your husband. You've made a HUGE mistake, and it may end your marriage. The worst idea, IMO, is to hide this from your husband. It will probably destroy him and you're going to have to live with that. Your marriage obviously wasn't that wonderful if you let such a big mistake happen. Go to your husband, your Bishop, and the Lord. That's my advice.

Great point! I don't like that fact that they are backing down because they're scared of violence. They shouldn't be dictated what to do because of fear of how the Muslims will act.
-
They wouldn't think twice about printing an insulting Christian cartoon. Anyways, I know that Muslims don't believe in recreating anything heavenly in art, but the writers wouldn't be printing the cartoon to attack Muslims, but to provide an image of the cartoon the book is based on. Just print it!

In thinking it all over, it comes down to...

All I can tell you is that I have a testimony that Joseph Smith did see what he claims, and is a true prophet of God. The Book of Mormon is a testament of his work. -
What a bunch of pansies.

What annoys me is that the story claims that he resigned because of his affiliation with the 9/11 Truthers and calling Republicans a-holes. The truth is he resigned because his radical views were being exposed! Why doesn't the media cover this? Why don't they inform us that Van Jones is an extreme radical? I haven't seen it reported this way, has anyone else?
-
I agree. I don't believe for a second they didn't know about his radical background. Does this mean Obama agrees with Jonesy's views? Obama did say to understand his policies, look to those he surrounds himself with. I don't know. We'll see. I'm starting to be more inclined to think that Obama indeed has radical beliefs, but tries to portray himself as a centrist.
-
Van Jones, Obama's "Green Czar", is a self avowed communist, Black nationalist, progressive radical, believes whites are poisoning minorities, thinks Capitalism is suicidal, wants to completely redistribute wealth, and plans to try to use the "Green" movement to completely change the country. Van Jones has made so many incredibly radical statements, it still perplexes me on how he was appointed to be the Green Jobs adviser? Especially after his statements saying he wants to use the Green movement to completely change the country. I used to think Obama really would play it down the middle, but after choosing a man like this to a government position... I'm starting to believe differently. Van Jones isn't the only Czar with radical progressive views, either.
-
That's fantastic news! The dude is a RADICAL. My question is, how did he get anywhere near the President, let alone get appointed to a Government position?
-
Congratulations!!!!

Good advice above. Focus on how you feel when you successfully resist temptation - and try to remember then whenever you are tempted again. How old are you?
-
I don't have much advice to offer, but I'm glad that he's coming to church you're happier!

Awesome video!!

Thinking about how much pain and how incredibly terrible someone would feel to want to kill themselves rather than live; I feel God would have compassion for what the person was enduring. That's pain I can't even fathom.
