As I understand the point one can have faith, believe and trust that these things are true. There are few who can come to a complete knowledge. Knowledge comes from seeing to the point of knowing. I can't say for sure that even seeing without touching, conversing, etc. could be considered knowledge. I believe, not know, that many who profess to know are repeating what they have heard for years and feel that they must know to be a part of the rest. I have had witnesses. There are many things I no longer doubt that it has taken a lifetime to cultivate. I believe I know by the witnesses given but I can't say I know like I live and breathe. Ben Raines

I have lived my life with that same thought about my actions. Do as you would if Christ were standing over your shoulder looking at all you do. Am I perfect? No. Do I think that thought often of "Would I be doing this with Christ looking over my shoulder? Yes. I do these things as a love of Christ not as a fear of retribution. Ben Raines

My question to you and please this is not an attack but "What is it that you are looking for or expecting?" Knowing what you are looking for would help in making suggestions on how to get there. Gifts of the spirit are as follows: To some it is given to know that God is to others it is given to believe on the testimonies of those who know. Ben Raines

Congrats Snow. Having served a mission where spanish was the mission language when my son was called to a spanish speaking mission was awesome. Some very humble people in South America. Ben Raines

I have been a scoutmaster for many years, an Eagle Scout for longer. Son is an Eagle Scout too and I have helped many young men become Eagle Scouts. Have seen very few gifts given other than by close family. Perhaps take the young man out to dinner or something as a celebration. Gifts are not expected nor necessary. Ben Raines

Even sadder is after kidnapping her the guy was later caught, tried and convicted of raping a woman and served time in prison and his wife kept the girl and her babies captive while he did time. She is just as guilty. Ben Raines

Pale you are my idol. I have heard the same thing too and my dream is to some day attend one of those big games in the South. I have been to Stanford, Cal, Fresno State, many BYU games among other teams but want to attend one down in the South one day. Have a great time over the next couple of weeks. Ben Raines

I hope that when that time comes I will be able to recognize God and his Son, Jesus Christ, by their countenance. I believe that I too will be able to know by spirit communicating with spirit. I can not comprehend a God that I can not come to know. Ben Raines

I would be very interested in the scriptures of the Holy Bible that say that there is a Trinity. Three Gods, same being or different beings same essence. Ben Raines

I agree with PC. I believe that I can discern when a sincere question is being asked or if I am being baited. If baited then I will politely excuse myself. If a sincere question then I will spend time discussing. Ben Raines

Someone once asked why we find it so easy to believe dead prophets and not living prophets. I think that is a good question. Ben Raines

Snow, before my son's mission he and I went fishing with my dad. After his mission I went with my son to where I served my mission and spent ten days. Nothing better for father/son bonding. Good luck and have a great time. Ben Raines

I thought your concern was that these things are kept secret. The purpose of the articles I posted is to show that they are not kept secret but often talked about and printed about. Ben Raines
