Don't know if I already mentioned this, but it reminded me of "I could care less", when in fact they mean I couldn't care less. If you could care less, it means it bothers you. Amazing how many people I've seen use it this way. I would disagree. It's just semantics I guess, but I would say taking out means to obtain. It depends on how you use it of course, but if you take out an object from a bag, you have taken that object into your hand and you have obtained it. Either way of saying you have received your endowment is correct. There are also some people who say there is no such thing as "free agency", that agency is never free (there is always a cost), therefore it is just agency. But that isn't what the word free in "free agency" is intended to mean.

I've seen some pretty gruesome diseases when travelling out to places like Africa, but I came across this youtube video just now. At first I assumed it was fake, but a quick google suggests this guy is indeed for real. I don't think I've ever seen anything as bad as this. Tree man 'who grew roots' may be cured - Telegraph

I know, hence my comment on that. I'm very surprised they endorse data being on any servers other than their own where they can keep a close eye on it. Personally, my concern would be that while it may meet their policies for use of the data, is it secured and will it remain secured? The data is accessible externally, which means there is more potential for unauthorised people to gain access to it. Servers are hacked all the time. If this third party server gets hacked, and data gets stolen; when it gets out that the church authorised the data to be placed on that third party server, they will be in a lot of trouble. If I were the church, I would prefer that data was kept on the churches own servers, so I could ensure it remained secure. -

It's more commonly known as the 419 scam. There is little point in reporting it to the authorities of your country, the people who run these scams work from places like Nigeria where they are protected legally from most of the people they try and scam. If you do report it to the authorities, the most they will do is tell you not to be fooled again. It's a very common online scam. -
Beefche, who needs friends when they have a cow like you, eh?

No need at the moment, I've set up a temporary measure to prevent it from flooding all over the place until I can get a more permanent solution. In hind sight, this has probably been going on for a while, it's just become a lot worse today. Previously it was only minute amounts of water, which I assumed to be condensation. It's mainly the knowledge that it was next doors waste water that bothers me

I came home from work today to discover my bathroom floor was covered in water, suggesting a leak somewhere (obviously). As this is a rented property, responsibility for these kind of issues lies with the landlord. However by the time I had gotten home, their office was closed. I spent a couple of hours trying to locate the source of the water, eventually dismantling half the bathroom to find it, getting myself (naively) soaked in the water all over the floor in the process. When I found it, it didn't take long to realise it's actually the flat next doors waste pipe. Every time they flush the chain, my bathroom floods with their waste water (and there is me dripping in it). Guess it'll be a day off work tomorrow to sort this out

Are you sure the bishop is getting your messages? E-mail addresses change and people don't always pass on messages.

It's really easy just to put it on as well. I can understand why (albeit disagree with) people speeding, but there is a reason for it. There is also a reason why drink driving happens. However I cannot think of any reason whatsoever why someone would choose not to wear a seatbelt, unless their body shape causes it to be an inconvenience. Anyway, these are UK statistics from 2008:

There is: LDS Movie Rentals Though I know they have had some issues with not delivering on their contract. You might want to read some recent reviews before giving them any bank details.
-
I thought I'd post that video to emphasize my point. I'm not trying to be contentious or anything, I just think wearing a seatbelt is vastly under estimated.
-
I personally would prefer that it was law. I don't have children, but I know that if a child (or any family member of mine) was killed because the person behind them (whether a friend, someone from church or whatever) did not put on their seatbelt, I wouldn't be feeling very sympathetic to that person. As far as I would be concerned, they should be prosecuted for murder.

It's a good point, but I do understand the reasoning for not making it open source. If anyone was allowed to install and implement it, at some point someone is going to try and install it when they have absolutely no idea what they are doing and mistakes will be made. This means all data for that ward is vulnerable to theft, and no doubt the author of the software wil be blamed, even though it isn't technically his fault. Then he gets a bad reputation (talk among church leaders), and the usage of the software declines. I'm surprised actually that the church would endorse having data kept on any servers other than their own. They are just asking for a law suit if anything happens to that data. -
Also remember if you are in a back seat and not wearing a seatbelt, you could easily crush the person in front of you when in a crash.

Lol. It is the best song ever. You probably need a British sense of humour for it (and in hindsight, this probably isn't the best thread for it, but oh well ) Also, with regards to the hits on that youtube page, the song was released 11 years ago by a practically unknown artist. The only medium I could buy with the song on at the time was cassette tape. The video I linked to was uploaded 7 days ago. Taking into account these variables, I wouldn't have expected the view count to be any different Try this link from a different youtube user:

Lol. Nothing beats the song I first heard in 1998, called big panty woman. I was in school and played it so many times, to much laughter. It's not very well known though. Click link below.

I've never heard it summarised like that before, but that pretty much conveys how I feel about socialising with people in person. Yeah, I have all of those to some degree. Though I would clarify that the "limited empathy" does not mean that the person feels limited empathy, but doesn't display empathy as others might; so they can appear to be very cold, but this is unintentional.

I don't suffer with it... I'm quite happy with it Going back to the OP... I have aspergers syndrome, so have to deal with a lot of the same things as yourself. Aspergers and autism have a lot in common, to the extent that some medical professionals believe they should come under the same title. I enjoyed reading your post, thanks.

In theory a cheap USB webcam from the local backstreet computer store will do the job, though doing this will require leaving a computer on during the time she is out. Most webcams have software which will allow you to record the stream, and if not there is always third party software which will do this. Though to monitor a USB camera live from work, that would require installed remote access software on the computer, something like LogMeIn Free would do the trick, as a quick and easy solution.
-
Seconded. This is exactly what I did in the same situation and with good results. There are plenty of wireless IP cameras available from electronics or computer stores. You can usually monitor these from within a web browser, though accessing it exterally may require a little bit of configuration.

I've heard that zone alarm can cause the error message you are receiving. Do you have zone alarm installed by any chance? Have you installed any new software recently, particularly security related software?
