  1. ...and the next month is on me.
  2. I've never heard of her , but doesn't mean anything, I still believe the world is flat. As long as she's not a rapper she OK.
  3. Have you had an unusual amount of snow this year? I know you normally get more than we do.
  4. I heard on the radio that some parts of Georgia got six inches.
  5. Eight more inches due by Tuesday morning. It's so heavy I can't see our dogs in the back. Of course, they are white. They kind of blend in. The kids here are going to have to have year round school just to get in the 180 days requires by state law.
  6. That's it. This guy is a song writer also. One of his songs was sang by Randy Travis.
  7. No that's not it. It was being sung by a man.
  8. I heard it for the first time yesterday. I didn't even catch the artist's name. It was on a country radio station and the title was "The Call".
  9. All I know is if my wife isn't there it can't be heaven.
  10. I remember the lady calling 911 several times to complain about her McDonald order. When she wouldn't stop calling they sent to police to arrest her.
  11. On the subject or real UFO's. My wife and I were on a country road about 20 years ago, I saw something in the sky and stopped in the middle of the raod and got out to get a better look. It was the shape of a large wing, had a few lights and made absolutely no sound. I was really puzzled until a few years later when a Stealth bomber crashed in California. Up until that time the Air Force had deniied having such a plane. When they finally had to admit it and showed a picture of one it was exactly what we had seen that night. As I thought about it, it had been flying in the direction of Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. I think many UFO's have military backgrounds.
  12. Your hamster probably died of fright when he saw all those snakes. Thought he was the guest of honor come dinner time.:):)
  13. I always thought people that reported UFO's were those with vivid imaginations like those that report sightings of Big Foot or Lock Ness Monster. But now it's happened to me. I was sitting in my living room and all of a sudden the whole area outside lit up. After my initial shock, I went outside and crept along the side of the house. When I got to the corner I looked around and there was this large object hovering in the air. That was enough for me. I hurried inside and called 911. The dispatcher said they had received hundreds of calls. They had been in touch with the Air Force and had also called the observatory at Ohio State University. One of the veteran scientists said he didn't think we were in any immediate danger. He said is a was a common phenomenon seen is some parts of the U.S. called the Sun. I had heard rumors of the existence of such a thing, but hadn't seen it for so long I didn't recognize it.
  14. We usually go out, but not this year. Our old wedding bands no longer fit out chubby little fingers. I'm taking my wife to a jewelry store to buy a new ring. She doesn't know it yet.
  15. Wingnut, I never would have thought it of you:o:o:):)
  16. Back in ancient times (1969) I got a job at a cabinet shop. A few weeks after I went to work they lost some orders and had to lay people, including myself. off. I got a job driving a delivery truck for a dry cleaner. A few months later I saw an ad that they were hiring. I called them I told them I had never been called back. They told me to come in. I worked there for a few years and left on my own for a better job. If you haven't called them, you should give it a try. It can't hurt. They may have just forgotten about you. You have nothing to lose. Many years ago I saw a letter to Dear Abby. The writer was a man that had been a medic in the Army several years before. Many of his friends were telling him he should consider medical school. He asked for her advice and wrote "Abby, if I go to college and medical school now, in ten years I'll be 40 years old". Abby's reply, "How old will you be in ten years if you don't go to school"? At the time I was considering leaving my job at the post office to attend college and become a teacher. I was 39 when I finished. Forty isn't to old to go in a new direction.
  17. My wife has a cousin that used to breed Irish Wolfhound's. She said they don't live very long. It's a shame, they're beautiful dogs. Of course, all dogs are beautiful. Afterall DOG spelled backward GOD. Both offer unconditional love.
  18. The house next to us has one of those little guys. He comes out on the road and barks at my 110 pound male pyrenees. He's a brave little guy.
  19. Not PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals or Peaple Eating Tasty Animals), but pets with an s. What kind of pets do members have? We have three Great Pyrenees. Cooper and Molly are three, Ginger is two. There is an outdoor cat. She is a calico named Patches. She is our mouser. If they get by her they come up against our indoor cat. She is black with four white paws. Her name is Boots. If she doesn't get them they meet Mr. Broom and get a whirlpool bath as they are flushed down the toilet. Our horse does no work and just stands in the field, so I guess she would be considered a per also. She is an American Paint named Nikki. There is one other non-human occupant. He lays by the stack of firewood or by the barn. The plan was to shoot him, but now that I've given him a name I don't want to do that. As long as he stays outside he's OK. His name is Herman. He's a six foot Black Snake.
  20. Gee, it's hard to believe that someone 2010 years old (according to your profile) could be so gullible.
  21. I would feel a lot better if some authority other than ChocolateMilk.com were singing the praises of chocalate over white milk. I usually buy chocalate milk myself, but not because I think it's healthier. It just tastes better. I'm sure that why the kids pick it too.:)
  22. I think they would bring in just as much with a Gatorade instead of a Coke machine. There's a company in California that takes boxes of fruit around to businesses in place of the usual donuts. Maybe they should offer their service to the schools. They deliver 7,000 boxes a month. I'm sure they would be happy to have the additional customers.
  23. The President is launching a attempt to stop obesity is the coming generation. It's a good idea and the place to start is the schools. Some kids don't get any meals except the ones they get at school. Those two meals should be good ones. The school where I taught served all packaged meals. The "cooks" never cooked anything. All they did was open packages. Since retirement I have been sub teaching here in my home county. For breakfast most kids pick donuts or muffins and chocolate milk instead of cereal or juice. Lunch may then be cheeseburgers and french fries with kids lined up at the candy machine. The first thing they need to do is serve better meals at schools. Take out candy, snack and pop machines. They don't need these things and having them there doesn't teach good eating habits. It's an excellent idea and I hope they are successful.
