It was very relevant. In typical style you don't want to talk about something that you can't debate against. Why don't you try and think about what that means and how it relates. I have never said that Benny Hinn was a prophet. I have never said that he pastors my church. I have never said that the people of TACF claim to be prophets. Do you just make this stuff up as you go along?

An employee of the mormon church coming up with a study that tries to discredit a long known string of depression in mormons. snowball, once again you fail to live in the same world that the rest of us do. There is a clear conflict of interest that goes to the credibility of the study. Put a study like into the hands of somebody that the mormon church doesn't have the ability to hurt if the results are not what they want them to be. If the roles were reversed you'd be saying the same thing, so save your opinions for somebody who wants to hear them.

I wasn't clear enough on one of my earlier points that some have taken issue with. There is indeed a biblical basis for saying that at one point in time, man needed a prophet to bridge the communication gap. However, in the time we live now, there isn't the biblical basis for stating that we currently need a prophet or specific high shepherd to bridge that gap that once existed. Romans 8:9 says the spirit of God lives inside us. Every single person who has ever truly accepted Jesus into their heart has the Holy Spirit living inside them. If you have the spirit of God living inside of you then why would you need to go to another source? That's like having a pharmacy inside your home and insisting that you need to drive to the drug store down the street to get your medication. If you have the holy spirit living inside you, then you don't need a prophet. If you don't have the spirit of God living inside you then I guess you are right, you need a prophet. Maybe revised wasn't the right word. Revised implies that there has been subtle changes to the product. Mormonism and Christianity are two very different products that have some things in common, but not enough to be the same. That is your opinion and you are entitled to it. I'm glad we agree that mormonism and Christianity are not the same thing. What light are you referring to? Are you referring to the mormon church being a light in a dark world? if that is the case then you should have ample amounts of evidence to back that up. That statement suggests that Jesus failed. i do believe a lot of fundamentals were messed up, however I don't believe it was the principles. I believe it was the actions and beliefs of the followers. I see many Christians, too many to count, who have non-biblical and ungodly beliefs. I see Christian after Christians tryng to work hard enough to get God's love and approval. There was, and still is, a problem with the Christian church, but the principles are not it. It is the ungodly practices of its members. We don't need a restoration of the church to fix that, we need to be revived to the state that the church needs to be in. Mormonism is just legalistic Christianity taken one step further. Why would i be kidding? Joseph Smith received his new revelation from an angel of light that came to him. Galatians specifically states that believers are not to accept any new doctrines from an angel that would come to them. Galatians was in print for over 1000 years before Smith came around. If you want to ignore a warning from God that has stood for that length of time then go right ahead. So that is your logic? Then I trust you do not use a bathroom, drive a car, have a checking account, or have a pension. The bible mentions none of these.

Mormonism is a "revised" version of Christianity. The basic rules have been changed as have the practices. From the outside mormonism and Christianity look the same, but only from the outside. When you compare the the scriptures, doctrines, and teachings they just don't match up. Christianity and mormonism are not the same thing, they are very noticably different. The basic core foundations contradict each other, and discredit the other's foundations. If you believe one, you cannot possibly believe the other. Mormonism isn't a restoration of Christianity, it is something completely different. What concerns me a lot, that mormons don't seem to understand, is that mormonism came into existance with an experience (Smith's with the angel) in the exact way that Galatians described us to be cautious of. I've debated with Catholics about this, because the Pope is their equivalent to your prophet. There isn't the biblical basis for believing that we need a prophet to speak for God. In fact there are numerous scriptures that suggest that we do not need somebody like that.

When your actions match up with your words, then you can call me a liar. Anybody who has read your posts regarding the Christian church knows you have a deep resentfulness and hatred towards it. It is so obvious that you cannot deny it. What you say is irrelevant because your actions speak for themselves.

You called me a rapist for the simple reason that I do not agree with your views. It is exactly that simple. You have a track record of saying whatever is necessary it takes to try and get one up on another person. Are you honestly thiking that calling me a rapist is not a very cowardly thing? You know very well I can't do much about it. You know i can't give you what that action deserves. If you went into a bar, or any other establishment, and called another man a rapist you wouldn't likely leave there under your own power, and you know it. This coming from the man who has tried very hard to prove me a liar, and failed every time. It's just that there is so much thrown around about how great this guys was. if he was a great wrestler, then he'd have a track record to prove it. He was strong.... as compared to what? There used to be a wrestler with the name "Mr. Perfect" and from reading this thread it sounds like many people think Smith was just that.

Well one would likely have some kind of knowledge of Jesus before giving their lives to him. In my own story of how I got saved, I knew little about Jesus. I knew the basics but not much else. I think that if somebody gets to the point where they are willing to give their life to Jesus, they likely have enough understanding about Him to do so. But this is where it gets tough. Christians, Mormons, Christadelphians, Jehovah's Witnesses, Christian Science, etc all have very different definitions of who Jesus is. Which Jesus have you just given your life to? This is a tough one.

I am open to God revealing new things. However most "new revelation" that comes out is in conflict with the existing scriptures. That is the issue, always has been and always will be.

I am really at a loss for words. I don't know how I could have clarified my point any more. You specified a few points that made me a "liar". I addressed each one of them with factual data. And now you have abandonded discussing what makes me a "liar" and taken up petty name calling. It is more apparent, now than ever, that you have no interest in facts or truth. You don't need a reason for accusing somebody else of something as long as you feel like believing it. The traditional Christ is the one that Christian churches hold him to be and Hinkley directly said that is who he does NOT believe in. Your Jesus is the Jesus of Joseph Smith, not the Jesus of the bible. Would you like me to show you a few examples of why the mormon Jesus is not like the Jesus of the bible? You seem to be under the impression that our churches are structured the same. You are wrong... again. The TV preachers you see do not speak for me, nor am I affiliated with them in any way. I respect many public figures such as Billy Graham but he is in no way an authority in my life. He does not have any authority to me whatsoever. The mormon church is not organized that way. The mormon church seems to be structured like a command, similar to the military. Hinkley has authority over you in your church because you subscribe to mormonism. Hinkley is your prophet. I don't have a prophet. It is a very simple concept that in 3 years posting here you have not grasped yet. I am very disappointed in how slow you are to understand simple things.

Is tolerant calling other people, who simply disagree with you, "liars"? Or Is it mocking anyone who disagrees with your theology? Do you consider your own behavior to be tolerant? What about calling somebody else a rapist?
