  1. 3 Nephi 6-7: And it came to pass that there were many cities built anew, and there were many old cities repaired. ?????
  2. Dude, it's the 21st of this month! Didn't you get the memo? Seriously though, it's next December (2012), on the 12th.
  3. Uh... I think it is out of that book, "Prophecy: key to the future". Not sure though.
  4. Honest question: If I think about my wife while... ya know.... is that kosher?
  5. EPIC!!!! You need to write a book or something bro.
  6. His Father before him. Right?
  7. Gotcha. Japan was... different. Very different from Washington for sure. Culturally worlds - no - galaxies apart. And as for "Your mission president will answer questions about whether other specific substances in your culture are included in the Word of Wisdom"; in Japan Caffeine containing drinks and green tea were on the list. I've even heard from others that in the Scandinavian countries hot chocolate is forbidden. After all it is a "hot drink". But then again, my wife rides me for drinking "Monster" and "Red Bull", but it doesn't bother me at all. Yet even cold green tea, or green tea extract bothers my conscience for some reason. Japan mission left-overs perhaps?
  8. Interesting. Where when did you serve? One more: Was green tea a "no-no" too when you were there?
  9. I served a mission in Japan and green tea is HUGE over there. It is culturally infused in ceremony and everyday life (candy, drinks, etc) and it is also specifically prohibited. They have to give it up in order to obey the Word of Wisdom and get baptized. In the WoW discussion we have introduce the "prohibition" on green tea, and it was a deal breaker for many potential members/investigators. Green tea = not allowed. But then again, members in Japan do not drink Coke or Pepsi either, and we as missionaries were told to abstain from those and all caffeine containing soft drinks for the duration of our missions there.
  10. Well if that's the definition we're going with then I would venture to guess that the title applies to all three. Unless... Because of the fact that The Holy Ghost lacks a physical body and therefore might possibly lack a certain power that The Father and/or Son possess (eternal procreation?, mediation?), and whereas The Father and Son have physical bodies of flesh and bone and might lack a power that The Holy Ghost is in possession of (influencing/comforting/warning our spirits, testifying of the truth [i.e. by the power of The Holy Ghost]), then it (The Godhead) might be like a modern passenger jet that HAS to have at least two crew members in order to operate because that is what it is certified for. In other words; maybe a "Godhead" has to have three members in order to operate, and all three get the title "Almighty God" like pilots are "crew" and there are sub-titles to their positions. Captain; Makes the decisions, delegates, and has the final authority. (The Father) First Officer. (The Son), and the Flight Engineer (Holy Ghost). Just a guess.
  11. Define Almighty...
  12. Finding an untraceable work-around: Smart, but not wise.
  13. I know right? Clearly either he bought the last calling card on earth, or I didn't want him calling me a "copy-cat".
  14. Yeah, I figured out how to do it when I was a kid. I haven't done it for a while though. It is lots of fun granting yourself super-powers, I do admit! BTW; was snow banned or something? Snow This message is hidden because Snow is on your ignore list.
  15. http://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcR6pkKA6c5LlhRVjWWqpMfwDLkS7mfymAvkwZFFKksn-QmXSuoDxkXLwv4v0Q ^^^^^^^^ I just pretend I'm on the rameumptom and do this. It gets awesome reactions too.
  16. Well, at least they got THAT right.
  17. This church (LDS) = The Gospel. Anything else = man-made.
  18. It relates this way: You said I cannot guarantee that The Holy Ghost would not lead anyone away from this church to another church. I DO guarantee it. The mists of darkness that lead people to forbidden paths are not conjured up by the Spirit of the Lord. The wisdom, philosophies, and false doctrine of men mixed with gospel truth will not lead them back to God's presence. If it did there would have been no reason whatsoever for The Restoration. The Spirit of the Lord would NOT lead them there. Do you remember what God Himself said about this subject? Joseph Smith asked about it and was told: "I was answered that I must join none of them, for they were all wrong; and the Personage who addressed me said that all their creeds were an abomination in his sight; that those professors were all corrupt; that: “they draw near to me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me, they teach for doctrines the commandments of men, having a form of godliness, but they deny the power thereof.” He again forbade me to join with any of them; and many other things did he say unto me, which I cannot write at this time." So why would God lead someone to a creed that is "wrong" and "an abomination in his sight"? He wouldn't. Again: I guarantee it!
  19. You are telling me that I missed the "part of missionary training where (I am) supposed to leave everything behind for 2 years and immerse (myself) fully in service with eyes single to the glory of God" when I said that he was the one who got the calling card? I followed the rule. He did not. You are preaching to the choir. What did you say in the other thread about not judging? Get off your high-horse.
  20. Yes I can. Unless I missed the footnotes in Lehi's dream where it says: "note: on occasion God will cause a mist of darkness to arise; yea, even an exceedingly great mist of darkness, to cause people to lose their way, that they wander off and get lost." I must have missed that part.
  21. THAT sin right there ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ If someone forsakes their covenants by their own choice, they have made their bed and now must lay in it. They are already in trouble and becoming a monk, catholic, JW, or anything else wont help them in any way shape or form. The Holy Ghost would not lead anyone astray.
  22. (I'll use your own words that you edited in your earlier post) That's what YOU think sitting in your armchair, quarter-backing other peoples lives. You don't know my heart. Are you telling me that The Holy Ghost lied to me? Are you telling me that I do not have a testimony? I have a strong testimony that came All WITHOUT studying Catholicism. Nice way to call bologna. And to use your logic: I guess that nobody that lived before The Great Apostasy or before Catholicism came into existence could possibly have had a testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel. The gospel was not restored from the Catholic church, or any other church for that matter. It was restored unto itself. And yes, I CAN guarantee that if some one is led away from the one and only 100% true church on Earth it was not God that led them away. They were deceived.
  23. Is that how you rationalize sin and personal apostasy? The scriptures are clear on the matter.
  24. Oh, and I found out the truth without studying Catholicism. The Mormons are right, btw
