I went to one of those parties before. They look really neat. I'm just so into doing everything digitally and getting it all on DVD that I decided to pass.

Wouldn't you think that after being in the business, he would've picked up a few pointers in reading music? But then because he does all of his concerts and work by ear, he can't let anyone know, "Hey I can read notes now, but why bother?"
-
If you ever have the chance, see him in concert. He is amazing, plus extremely entertaining and funny.

We use a water softener/purifier and reverse osmosis system. I think it's important that the water flowing through your appliances and pipes is clean as well, else you'll be replacing them at some point down the line. We've had ours for 4 years now and love it. The system we got was $3000 though, but well worth it in my eyes.

I say definately yes. If you buy two seats, you should get all the benefits of two seats. Two meals, two times the luggage, two floatation devices, and double "Goodbye now."
-
aye! And the time on the board is in MST (my time in utah.)

What, No Single Girls Here?!?!?
Heather replied to WakkoWarner's topic in Young Single Adults, College and Institute
The problem with the ads is google takes the content of the page and then brings in ads which fit the text on the page...So if you start talking about single girls, there is a chance Google could pull something like that in. I don't see it at the top of my page, but if you ever do see something like that, please copy the link and pm it to me so I can put it in the ad filter. -
Fat or not, I think most people max out their luggage weight. :) Although I agree if you can't fit in one seat you need to buy two

I'd be interested to see the percentages of those who are married as well. As an assumption, I could see the possibility of there there being a higher percentage of LDS who are married compared to the other religions in the study. It also seems to me that those who are married are more relaxed in their appearance then those who are single. Huge generalization on my part, but just thought I'd throw that out there. Also LDS members tend to have more kids, and I know that baby weight can be hard to lose, especially when it's compounded. And with more children, it becomes more difficult to eat right (expensive and ease of cooking) and find the time to exercise. Just a few more points that would be interesting to look into when doing a study like this.

CENTRISTS espouse a "middle ground" regarding government control of the economy and personal behavior. Depending on the issue, they sometimes favor government intervention and sometimes support individual freedom of choice. Centrists pride themselves on keeping an open mind, tend to oppose "political extremes," and emphasize what they describe as "practical" solutions to problems. Your PERSONAL issues Score is 50%. Your ECONOMIC issues Score is 80%.

Cool deals :) Good luck with your site! (Considering that I have links to other LDS sites all over the place in order to pay for everything, why not add a few more.) Man some of you guys are harsh
-
Hey I don't have a problem with it, if you recipricate the link. I use to have a section for people to post links, but I haven't been able to get it working in this version of ipb.
-
I should address that last point more fully. I don't think we could find one topic on the site that actually stayed completely on topic. That certain point was due to a few threads where someone has come in and completely changed the topic to be about themselves or trolling. I don't think you'll find any of the moderators patrolling that point too harshly or suspending for it. It has happened a few times that a new poster has come in and posted a link or other propaganda in every single thread.
-
Note to all moderators: Anything violating any of the below rules should be deleted, the poster warned, and issued at least a 1 day suspension to "cool off". When issuing the suspension (do this by increasing the warning level by 10%) please send an email with the following note:

Some Russian Leaders Propose Legalizing Polygamy.
Heather replied to Fiannan's topic in General Discussion
I doubt the men were all that happy about it either. After the honeymoon period is over, what do you have to look forward to? Jealous wives, more responsibility, and double the mouths to feed? And it probably got better for the women: Oh good, I don't have to fake a headache tonight; she can iron his shirt tomorrow and do all the cooking. Nope, I still don't like the idea of it. The only thing that I know is that God loves us and I know that he would never require of me to do something that would bring me unbearable sorrow. Knowing this, I know that if I am called to practice polygamy in the next life, it will be a way that I and my husband will be completely happy with. I don't know how it will work, or what it will be like, but I know that I will be fine with it. -
Some Russian Leaders Propose Legalizing Polygamy.
Heather replied to Fiannan's topic in General Discussion
In response to the reports on this thread: I have read/skimmed through the majority of it, but I'm not going to take the time to edit 5 pages worth of posting. All the nit-picking at semantics is absurd. It’s like those posts you read where someone can’t find fault with another’s argument, so they start to pick at their misspellings. Maybe none of us truly know how it would be to live in a polygamous marriage, but I can tell you this, when a woman flirts with my husband, I don’t like it. So it’s quite easy for me to assume that if another woman is bedding my husband, while I am sleeping next to an empty spot in my bed, I am going to hate it. Everyone is entitled to their opinions. Please show each other the same level of respect you would like to receive. I’m tired of reading all of the, “You’re not truly LDS if you think that way.” I’m LDS and I know that I think differently than other LDS members on several issues. Are we truly being LDS if we’re constantly bickering and trying to run each other down? Also, if you don’t want to be called by your screen name, please choose a name you would like to be called by. Do we really need 2 pages worth of debate over a name? And BTW, the next person who posts anything that I deem to be name calling/bickering will receive a one day suspension to cool off. -
Word definition lesson for the bored; whoops, I mean board. No, I was right the first time: Polygny is the condition or practice of having more than one wife at one time. Polygandry is the condition or practice of having more than one husband at one time. Polygamy is a “marriage in which a spouse of either sex may have more than one mate at the same time .” The term plural marriage is used as a synonym for any of the above. The term polyamory refers to an intimate, romantic relationship that involves more than two people - with the full knowledge and consent of all partners involved. Bigamy is “the act of entering into a marriage with one person while still legally married to another.”

Now play nice, or I'll suspend you both.

Facts: The account name Setheus was a member, not banned from 1/13/06 - 1/17/06. The 13th was the day I wrote you to tell you the stipulations for coming back. The 17th was the day after Justlooking posted in chat that Setheus killed himself. Jared, the name you created, was created on the 16th. From the 16th until today, there are numerous logs of Jared asking about "that guy who killed himself" and wondering about "setheus." If you had come back to the board and found the name Setheus banned, you should've wrote me and told me you were going to come back to apologize but there was a problem logging in. Please don't insult my intelligence or anyone else by trying to get them to believe you had nothing to do with faking the death. If you thought it was as sick as I do, you have had 5 days to come clean about it. Instead you have played along. The only reason you even came clean is because I banned you. Honestly, I don't think Justlooking or anyone who considered themselves to be your friend would play such a sick joke without your permission. There is quite a difference between you and Ari. (Disruptive has not been let back on the board yet.) Ari came to me and told me who she was. I'm not sure if she tried to hide it from anyone, but I do believe her intentions are good, and she wanted to make a better start on the board. She was banned because of her approach and misguided information. As I stated in a previous post, I don't care if anyone wants to flirt on the board. What I saw in the chat rooms, with multiple women, was well beyond flirting. I can't believe anything you tell me. I feel that it's just lies to cover up even more lies. There are chatters, chatters you have mislead, who have been deeply hurt by what you have done. What you thought was a game, was real to them. From what I have heard, they don't want you to be allowed back.

This will be the last time I address recent events. I know that there have been many questions as to what exactly occurred, and I have felt that it was inappropriate to discuss them fully. Please be aware that I have not taken any action without due cause. I am only making this post so that everything is out in the open and we can move on. At the time Setheus was removed as a mod, it was something that I had felt needed to be done for almost a month. I will not go into details as to why, but simply that I felt my personal feelings weren't enough to remove him, as I knew he was well liked, and from what I could tell, he was doing a good job. It wasn't however until I was asked by some other chatters to investigate that I saw what exactly was happening in the chat room. The logs showed inappropriate behavior by a few of the members of the board. Action was taken against all of them in one form or another. Setheus was removed as a moderator and also banned, being as he was involved in all of the inappropriate events. Setheus wrote me quite a few times from an email account, wanting to be put back in as moderator and wanting to rejoin the site. I told him he would never be a moderator again, and outlined what he must do in order to rejoin the site: 1 – You come back as Setheus and apologize to the board (no need to give any details) 2 – You do not have any other aliases on the site and you tell me all of your previous alias names so they may be deleted 3 – You don’t use the chat room for inappropriate behavior I then unbanned his name so he could do just that. Instead of complying, he chose to fake his death and involved Justlooking in the plot. He then returned to the board under a new name and identity. Schemes of this nature are just sick and will not be tolerated, considering the emotions of fellow chatters that have already been played upon. The means of this plot was made evident by the aliases mannerisms, the use of the same ip address by the aliases and setheus, and finally proven beyond doubt tonight when Setheus wrote me from the same email address that he had used when asking to return to the board as a moderator. I apologize to those of you who have suffered emotionally over these demented games. Please be aware that Setheus has done this in the past. This was not the first time he faked his death, nor will it probably be the last. I’m sorry that there isn’t more I can do besides give warning to be careful in whom you trust. Setheus is still on the board, and may respond to this if he chooses to. His current alias is Jack Sparrow.

If they want to share an account, I don't care. When you have one computer, it's kind of a pain to always be logging in as someone else. Maybe confusing for some of us, but at least they're not trying to hide it. I'm closing this topic. If you have any problems, please use the report button. Lets all remember to be nice and talk nice. :)

I told Aristotle that she could come back. If you have any problems with posts that have been made by her or her husband, please report them. So far no one has reported any of their posts, yet I continue to see posts harping on the past. So if she is willing to change her approach, I say lets give her a second chance. Heather

Nope. I would leave. With the kids, the house, and a nice check each month. If he had to do it against his will (Church required it) I would only say okay if there was absolutely no sexual relations of any kind. It would be a matter of taking care of a women who had lost her husband and needed the financial support for her and her children. She would have her own guest house and my husband would not be allowed to be alone with her. Hmm, I guess that pretty much says how I feel about polygamy

Just wanted to let everyone know that LDS Talk has hit #6 on the search "lds chat" in Google. When I started this thread, it wasn't even in the top 20.
