I'm in the midwest, too. Also from Calif. I've been using Orkin for about 1.5 years now and hardly ever see a spider indoors now. Not many crickets either. Now if only he could make the june bugs and locusts stay out of our yard.

we have an asus netbook. It is currently hooked up to a 19" monitor and wireless keyboard and mouse. I use it as an upstairs computer, primarily for email, a few forums, and facebook. I recently added a few games for my daughter, as my kids are wanting to play on the computer, but the biggest limitation is no cd drive. Some kids games I own require a disc to be kept in a drive to play. I keep telling myself stop buying these, but I have a few. I is annoyingly slow, but I don't use it for heavy stuff. We recently got blackberrys, and my wife got an app that is a complete set of all the LDS scriptures, lesson manuals etc. I've started using it in EQ and SS and it is fairly easy once you get the navigation of the mobipocket reader.

If there is a connecting door he will keep it partway open so his clerk will hear if you need help. The clerk will not be listening to you talk, but if you were to cry out or something he would hear. Not sure what they would do if no connecting door. Resident bishops may speak up now.
