Hi, Brother Babel in his book on Faith said if we properly read the scirpture about "There is a law irrevocably decreed ... and so forth," refers to A LAW not a million that we have to figure out, and that law is the law of the harvest in the vernacular. Arguably, it means that if we are willing to sow we will reap. We don't have to find the law upon which every blessing is predicated. Otherwise we'd get lost in the mire of the Mosaic of it all. Just a thought. Abraham

Hi, Okay, red wheat has a shelf life of 50 years and white wheat 48, it is not material. (being a bit facetious) Abraham

I am trying to tell the whole story here. Soft wheat (NOT WHITE WHEAT) is used for cakes because it contains less gluten. Durum wheat is the best for pasta. Hard wheat can be used to anything that takes flour it is just not as ideal as other. It takes some homwork and study to find out what wheat is best for each application. White wheat definitely is NOT just for cakes etc. I have been baking (okay, my wife and me) white wheat bread for years. It is head and shoulders above red wheat bread. It amazing our friend, even in the Church. Abraham.

To 'sponge' dough is to let it rise after adding the water (warm), the honey, the yeast, and about 60% of the flour. If you let 'grow' to the top of the bowl, more or less, then the bread is much lighter and not, if you use hard red winter wheat, what we call affectionatly (BTW -after it sponges you add the salt, oil, and the balance of the flour. red - lead - bread. I am a softy for white flour bread, that is to die for, and might probably kill you but I say, "My wife makes 'whole wheat bread - and I make whole white bread'. Your friend Abraham

No, the Hill's name was chosen later and attributed to the hill where the records had beenn deposited. That hill was not the Hill Cumorah when Joseph frequented it. Abraham. I think 1842 was where the name Cumorah was used in scripture outside of the BoM, (D&C 128). Of course there is a lot more to it than that.

Sunday, as YMP our YM group sponsored a speaker/archeologist to speak on Book of Mormon: Lands and Peoples. It was about 2 hours long and FANTASTIC!!!!!! I guess you will have to imagine what he talked about but had pictures that no one had ever taken, for example the 'morning star' Venus - shining through the temple portal at sun-up on April 6th, the only day it lines up there and on and on. About 250 people attended and loved it. I know that evidence like this does not give someone a testimony it is merely evidence but it was so incredible. He is a member of the Church and he and his wife are writing a book, I'll will tell you when it is available. One interesting fact is that Mexicos Minister of the Intierior told hiim that 99% of what is told at most, if not all, Mayan ruins is for the curious tourists and is not true. The blood letting ceremonies and sacrifices is just not true!! the tourist like the blood and gore part. The symbolism was amazing. Did you know Catholic Bishop LaVenda (sp) tortured the Mayan in the most horrendous ways to get them to disclose where their records were stored This guy then took over 100,000, yes over one hundred thousand records and burned them saying they were pure evil and of the devil. (No offense to our Catholic friends but this is a fact of history). My point is that there a lot of evidence out there that buoys our faith. BTW - We are sure that the Hill of Cumorah is NOT IN NEW YORK!!! No BYU BoM scholar bellieves it either. Moroni never said the plates he buried were in the Hill Cumorah, just a hill. the real Hill of Cumorah is a bit south. I love this gospel and its fullnes. Abraham of the Chaldeas

I am not sure what you wanted to put corn into, but most good grinders can grind popcorn into great cornmeal, and it is veyr cheap compared to what a grocery store charges. Get the recipe for Marie Callendars corn bread it is to die for, and like a cake. Just be sure your grinder insturctions says its okay so you don't ruin your grinder and blame me. hee hee Abraham

Hard Red Winter Wheat is good ole whole wheat that most people use who want whole wheat. It is good and healthy, but dense and heavy, About 8 - 10 years ago a hybrid whole wheat was inotroduced called 'white wheat'. It is 100% whole wheat but bread, rolls, etc come out alot lighter and fluffier than the red stuff. It is a thousand times better tasing i think and has a lot more versatiltiy. If you can find it then buy the white wheat. It has all the gluten, nutrients, and germ as the red, only better. Be sure to let you WW breads sponge first, if you're not using Dough Enhancer. Abraham

You can roll oats but if you make, like my wife does, 12 grain bread sometimes you have to roll other grains and crack them for use in the bread or cereals. I don't know about this grinder but it sounds like a great deal personally like the Nuti Mill, as it has a pre-burst chamber that allows you tp put 10 cups in the top without having to turn it on. It works great but costs about $250. Be careful of hand grinders also. Do your homework. I can' recall the name of ours but it has an adapter that is about 12" in diameter and multiplies the turns. If you go to Walton Feed site (as I have said before) you can get a comparison on how long, how much, etc. it takes to grind wheat into flour. REMEMBER it will take a lot of effort, you just want to minmize it. Abraham

In the end there are only three choices absolutely: 1) You're right 2) You're wrong 3) We're both wrong For sure we all can't be right (in the sense of the fullness). Abraham

I Have Officially Resigned From The Mormon Church
Abraham replied to Holly3278's topic in Christian Beliefs Board
Though we need to love our brothers and sisters as Christ would, you will soon find out my friend Jonathan, that truth is not relative. I have taught this many times that with all sincerity of my heart, "It does matter!" Abraham -
Personally I like the book of Abraham. I have a special kinship to him. I trust him and everything I study about him leaves me in awe. Guess who, Abraham

It is sooooo fun. v. 21 ' he has filled me with his love even unto the consuming of my flesh. The most important scripture to memorize ..... is the next one!! Abraham

The 144K will have achieved what each of need to strive for even as Christ did (but of course he achieved it) and that is reach the Terrestrial paradigm in this life. This is where the Savior, as our great exemplar, and you will note a big change, when he then had command over the elements water, bread, health, life, etc. that he did not demonstrate before in the telestial paradigm. It is what Enoch, Moses, and other prophets achieved and especially the two bulls will have achieved in Old Jerusalem during the 'desolation of tribulation". See Book of Revelation That is why I referred to it as translated-type. Just wanted to clarify - one more thing if you think of our progress (esp those endowed) we do not leap from the Telestial to the Celestial we have to pass through the Terrestrial. Abraham

FYI - Osteen received a 7 or 10 million dollar advance on his latest book. So he does get paid. I can leave him personally. There a lot of good things people say that have merit. I don't like the priestcraft stuff. Abraham

Even Christ's prayer was not answered in the manner he desired/requested. Nevertheless, his will was swallowed up in the will of the Father. These kind of tests are our mini Gethsemane(s). Can we pass our Abrahamic tests? See Abraham 3 we are here to see if we will do all that has been commanded of us, even if it is enduring a car break down. We were totally out debt once when the prophet told us to be wise. While at a GC PH meeting my son fell on the carpet, broke his arm on the growth joint. It cost us $6K with bills from the hospital, ER, anathesialogist (sp), surgeon, and on. This was 24 years ago. Yes things happen to us (remember the earth was cursed FOR OUR SAKE). Please put it all in eternal perspective and don't give up on prayer. Lately, I have had a marvelous revelation regarding prayer. If it ain't working for ya, then change the manner, the time, the preparation, the listening, and the place you pray. I promise one day you will feel a bit embarrassed if you give up on Him and he is right there all the while. Abraham

The 144K will be a very special translated-type group sent to accomplish a number of things. They will be like Enoch as they gather in the elect. Besides temple work they will travel the world and do Father's bidding. Also, the meeting as I am sure you were referring to in Adam-ondi-Ahman will have a lot more people than 144K. When the keys will be given/returned to Adam there will be in my opinion a lot more there for logistical support. The twelve temple complex will be nearby and will serve the tribes accordingly. Remember Neal A. Maxwell jokingly saying that someday we will need a little red wagon to carry our scriptures to Church. Then we will have an aha moment every day. One thing you can know for sure, if someone tells you he is one of the chosen (144K) or has his/her calling and election you can be sure s/he has not. Until next time, Abraham

Hi, Remember, in the Sat 10:00 A.M. GC session of 2001, Pres. Hinckley declared unequivocally that the prophecy in Joel 2 and the moon shall turn to blood, young men dream dreams, old men see vision etc. has been fulfilled. I believe him. Those who claim we have 25 years can be right but I can't imagine HF can stand the brutal torturing of his children for much longer. Remember, one of the reasons that the flood came was because God's children had practically no chance to 'make it'. They were swallowed up in the world's wickedness. I wonder how long the Lord can stand this today. The Second Coming is not an event in the sense that in one day he will be coming and the next he will be here and that will be it. There will many parts as the worlds is cleansed, purged, and prepared for the wedding feast. For example, the Church has said, the PANDEMIC is coming - get your 90 day supply for the quarantine that is also coming (or social distancing another name for quarantine). It is not if it is WHEN. So 2011 very well could play a crucial part and the dualism of the prophets may and probably will suprise us. I don't know if 1987 started the clock ticking. On the other hand you opinion(s) have just as much chance of being valid as mine. Let's all be careful of conjecture, pure speculation, and self-indulgent prognostications MYSELF included. It is going to be a great ride, especially for the 144,000. Keep the faith, Abraham
