  1. And that's exactly what it is... Infinite Progression (not regress). With God working to get us to His level of Progression and He Himself infinitely progressing.
  2. Whatever. I have been very open with my thoughts and reasoning on where I've been in this election cycle. I even started a thread about my cautious reserve on Trump's foreign policy that went nowhere because of this ridiculous labeling. Lyin' Ted, Crooked Hillary. Little Marco... labeling. Very effective in minimizing a person. And you kept on using it on me complete with calling Trumpsters idiots.
  3. I do this too! But instead of milk, I use ginger beer.
  4. Well, no other Christian religious organization that I know of believe that marriage goes beyond death, so even they believe their marriages "end up voided". I don't believe you have to be married and sealed to end up in the Celestial Kingdom - the highest kingdom. But, you do need to be married and sealed to hold the highest calling in the Celestial Kingdom - that is, to be God that brings to pass the immortality and eternal life of happiness of other spirits in perpetuity. Single men and women who have lived in righteousness and passed away before the opportunity for marriage presents itself (e.g. children who pass away, etc.) will be given the fullness of their inheritance by God.
  5. I guess to make it easier to clean? I probably should try glossing my baseboards!
  6. Okay, I'm sold. Count me in as a Trumpster. He just gave a Foreign Policy speech that is EXACTLY everything I want an American President to accomplish. Absolutely spot on. I'll link the video as it becomes available.
  7. The first thing that came to mind when I saw the video was.... OH MY GOODNESS. WHAT CLEAN BASEBOARDS!
  8. Letmeoff... I think this may be the source of your confusion of what we, the LDS, are saying. Let me try to clarify it. Marriage is an ETERNAL covenant. That is - it is NOT "Until death do us part". Rather, it is "For life after death". Now, the power to "seal on earth as it is in heaven" is only present in authorized priesthood - and that is only the Priesthood in the LDS Church where God grants that authority. Therefore, only those marriages that are sealed in the holy temples of the LDS Church by the Priesthood of the LDS Church are a binding covenant that does not end in death but lasts through life after death all throughout eternity. Any other marriages performed by any other means (including those performed by an LDS priest outside of the temple that are not sealed at the temple) are only bound on earth and not in heaven. They all end either in death or when the state/clergy decides it is ended. Adam and Eve's marriage is, of course, eternal because it is performed by God himself who has perfect authority to bind in eternity. Make sense? P.S. Hope things work out for the best in your court case.

  10. Oh Steve! My dad had lung cancer too. Look into getting your mom in a clinical trial for Avastin. My dad's cancer was at Stage 4 metastasized to the ribs when the cancer got detected. He was given under 6 months. We flew him from the Philippines to Houston and got him on the trial and he was on the trial for over 2 years. Unfortunately, he went into a devastating depression due to his intense dislike of being far from home so we had to take him out of the trial to fly him back to the Philippines where he passed away a few months later. My workmate's mom also had Stage 4 cancer when it was detected over 15 years ago. She got into the Avastin trial in Orlando. She's been in the trial for over 15 years and her cancer has not progressed at all. She continued to work at her desk job and only takes off a Friday and a Monday every 6 weeks to get the treatment. She gets treated on a Friday and she's back to work by Tuesday. She retired from her job a couple years ago when she turned 65 and became eligible for SS. i pray that your mom and your family finds peace under the care of the will of God.
  11. We did this in scouts.
  12. We saw Buckey in Winter Soldier as being chemically manipulated for decades to do the bidding of Hydra. So yes, his actions and choices were not his own. We also saw in Winter Soldier Tony Stark's PTSD leading him to a kind of fearfulness that led him to unleash Ultron to gain some semblance of control. In the comic, Civil War was a conflict between Cap and Stark/Shield over Superhero Registration. Cap has an ingrained distrust of the government and Shield and he lumps Hydra in with them (as they managed to control the govt and Shield) in the abuse of Buckey. I am almost certain they're going to use this story arc using Stark's PTSD to align him with Shield when he has always had a distrust of Fury. In any case, I very much doubt that the Civil War will be waged simply over Cap's unshakeable friendship with Buckey.
  13. Today on Rush Limbaugh: http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/daily/2016/04/26/what_i_know_about_donald_trump_and_ted_cruz Let me... I'm going to take the occasion of your call to say something here about both men. Because it's not good for people on our side of the aisle to start harboring opinions of our two front-runners here that may not be entirely accurate. I understand the nature of competition. And the Cruz people want desperately to win, and the Trump people desperately want to win. And within the framework of this competition, obviously, critical things are going to be said. I know both these guys, and I know both of them very well. Folks, I just want to tell you from the bottom of my heart. First off, for those of you Cruz people who think that Trump is some thug, he's not. The "encouraging violence" thing is a little bit of an exaggeration of a couple of things that happened at some of the early Trump rallies that were largely symbolic. You have to understand this is one of the things that put Trump on the map. People on our side are fed up with having life dictated to us by public agitators and protesters who are not legitimate. They come in for one purpose, and that's to interrupt, disrupt. They don't have a legitimate grievance. They're faking it. They're nothing but a bunch of bullies themselves, and Trump was not going to surrender his events to them. He simply wasn't. In some faux sense of politeness or tolerance, he was not going to surrender his event to these people. Donald Trump is a... You would love him living in your neighborhood. You would love him if he were one of your friends. He is a nice guy, but he's committed, and he's driven, and he's confident. And many people assume, from that, that he's arrogant. Some people assume that people like that are intolerant, that they're know-it-alls or what have you. But if you would spend any time around Trump, you would enjoy yourself. You'd be laughing, and you would have a good time. You might think some things are beyond the pale or what have you, but he's not a bad guy. And, by the same token, on the other side, I really am uncomfortable with what some of the Trump people think of Ted Cruz. Ted Cruz is... I don't know how else to say it. He's wholesome. He is solid. He is an excellent citizen. He's possessed of incredible dignity and integrity. He's not a cheater. And, by the same token, if Cruz lived in your neighborhood, it'd be a great neighborhood, and you'd be happy to have him in your neighborhood. You'd be happy to have Cruz as one of your friends. He may seem stiff to some people because of the way he appears on the campaign trail, but both of these people are okay people. They're nice people. They're nice guys. They're driven in their own ways, and both of them are profoundly preferable to Hillary Clinton. You want to talk about negative characteristics and personality traits? Gaming, cheating, this kind of thing? I mean, that is the name of the game for the entire Clinton machine. What they have is a political machine, and it takes no prisoners. And they are in it for the express purpose of maximizing as much personal gain as they can out of it while at the same time altering the status quo in this country in a negative way for the most people. They are elitists, and they're just not... You wouldn't, I don't think, fully trust them or their organization. But when it comes to Cruz, you have a deeply religious, committed family man. He believes in God; he lives his life accordingly. These are not bad guys. These are not bad people. And it's kind of part and parcel of campaigns that you have these kind of negative attacks, critical things said about people. But you can rely on the fact that when all this is done, these are people that you would not mind being around at all. You wouldn't mind them having some role in your life, be it friendship, member of your church, or what have you. But they're both in a pretty heated competition here for the most powerful job in the world. And there are certain things that you have to do, certain requirements that you have to do to achieve this job, to win. It's what it takes to win this job, and it's something most people wouldn't even subject themselves to. Most people wouldn't even enter this arena.
  14. My kids got their investment account when they turned 12 - they're completely in charge of it and so far they've done good (better than the almost 0% interest in a savings account that's for sure). Lately, my husband has been doing a lot of short-term trading of ETFs and was telling my 12 -year-old to ride with him on his trades to which my son replied: Dad, you know what the fastest way to become a millionaire? Put 5 million dollars on day trading.
  15. Made this over the weekend... it was SUPER DELISH! Bailey's French Toast: 1/4 c. Bailey's Coffee Creamer 3 eggs 1 tsp vanilla 1 tsp cinnamon Whip and dip bread in it and pan-fry. Topping: 1/2 c heavy whipping cream 2 tbsp Bailey's Coffee Creamer Whip to make frosting-like consistency and put a dollop on top of the Toast. Add blueberries or strawberries or chocolate syrup, etc.
  16. I'm not quite sure what y'all are talking about... Are you talking about dunking a piece of bread in a glass of milk? Or are you talking about making french toast with milk? Anyway, I like making french toast with millk combined with the eggs soaking the bread in it, pan-fry then sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. I also like dunking bread in milk. We, Filipinos, like to "wash" our bread before eating... usually in ice-cold coca-cola, or milk, or even water if we don't have money for anything else. Depending on the bread, it could be sitting in the liquid for a few seconds to soak up before we eat the soggy bread. Then, after all the bread is gone, we drink the liquid with all the bread crumbles. But, we don't do this to sliced bread or any soft bread. We usually do this with pandesal, baliwag, or any of those crusted breads. This really started with stale bread. You know, the bread that got old so it gets hard but not moldy. Dunking it makes it fresh. Now I'm hungry.
  17. P.S. I just want to be clear. I have no issue with the Republican Primary System. It's their rules, they can make it however they want it. I am simply stating the impression it is making on a lot Republicans (65% of Wisconsinians and 72% of New Yorkers). It's not the usual turn of events to get to April and still not have a nominee so fighting over delegates has surfaced a lot of these things that didn't used to matter.
  18. I have no problem with that either. But they need to be clear about it - when you have a party that spends millions on "get out the vote" efforts you expect your vote to count. Otherwise, spend your millions on telling people why the delegate would choose X. This applies the same way in Congress - you expect the House to carry out a mandate. And, because they made Senators elected positions, they have to carry out the mandate as well. Otherwise, they shouldn't put out the illusion that they are going to do what they promised to do on the campaign. If you're referring to the voting public as the Lazy Republicans then it's a silly accusation. That's WHY we have a Representative Republic. Because we don't all have the time nor the nitty-gritty know-how to carry out governance... even in this information age.
  19. I'd be worried if my sons start emulating movie characters... Captain America or Iron Man or even Moses...
  20. Yes, it's a private club. They get to make the rules. But, Republicans decided they're going to be a Representative Republic... where delegates represent the will of the people. They could always just say - the State's RNC chairman select the nominee without regard for the people and that would be just fine... private club and all. But, when you're trying to pass yourself as a Representative Republic system, at least make it Representative... otherwise, don't. Then you don't have disenfranchised people caught in the mix wondering where their representatives went. Of course, this has nothing to do with Ted Cruz. He's doing a brilliant job of staying alive in this election cycle. In my opinion, the Democratic Party primaries is a better organized system. The rules are very clear - here are your representatives (bound delegates)... they represent the people and will express their will at all times (can't be unbound). Then they have the party representatives (super delegates) who can vote who they want - they don't represent the masses.
  21. I love Tony Stark's character in all the Iron Man movies. You see a complete person, not a cardboard box... you see his strengths and weaknesses and how he tries to overcome them. You see his character progress from the boy genius without a clear path ahead of him in Iron Man 1, followed by a strong person emerge from being a POW who started to believe he is invincible and got too big for his bootstraps in Iron Man 2, who was taken down a notch by the life lessons of Cap' eventually leading to him learning to work as a team and eventually sacrificing himself in The Avengers then to a boat load of insecurities and the start of a healing process thrown at him by a little boy in Iron Man 3.... I have no problem with my sons hailing him as one of their superheroes. They like Iron Man better than Captain America because they think Iron Man can beat the Captain on a one-on-one grudge match. Which is making Civil War a highly anticipated movie in my house. Of course, they think Ip Man can beat Iron Man. but Chuck Norris is going to beat Ip Man, which doesn't matter because Yoda can beat all of them.
  22. Or Joe Blow is one of those Tea Partiers that went to all the meetings and sent Marco Rubio to the Senate only for him to put up a Gang of 8 Bill. You know... the ones whose voices got stomped on by the political machinery. I was driving one time and had the radio on Sean Hannity and some delegate from Florida called into his show and Sean asked her - how do you justify voting for Cruz on the 2nd ballot when the people of Florida clearly picked Trump? And she said - the people do not vote the GOP nominee, Sean! The GOP does! And Sean said - wait, wait... the GOP is the people that voted in Florida, right? And she said... no, we are the GOP. We put a lot of effort on grassroots and even put up our own money to promote the GOP platform. So Sean asks - so why bother with primary elections? And she said - we really don't need elections. It really is just to make people feel comfortable about the process. Now, that's not a Representative Republic. A Representative Republic is when a group of people chose a Representative to speak for them... not speak despite of them.
  23. See the first part of my post above. I don't know why people think Joe Blow is stupid. Jeff Sessions, Ben Carson, Allen West, Rudy Gulliani... they're not stupid. Paul Manafort, especially, is not stupid. (I have to say, I am really impressed by Trump's choice of Manafort - I've known Manafort from the Marcos days!)
  24. Okay guys... let's bring this back. This is not a Never Cruz thread.... Cruz or Trump it doesn't matter. They're both LOADS BETTER than Hillary. Vote for Cruz or Trump in the general. Or even Kasich - although, that would be a very difficult thing to sell to the Party. Cruz, as it stands right now, will be a very difficult thing to sell to the Party. You know why Trump's "rigged election" stump speech is sticking? Because... what Cruz is doing right now with the delegates resonates with a lot of Tea Partiers who have fought tooth and nail to put representatives to represent their will. They go to Congress and they get thrown against the Senate Rules Committee or the House Rules Committee and get silenced through backroom dealings and what-not and all their promises to their constituents go by the wayside silencing the people once again. Cruz, right now, is projecting an image of using these rules and these backroom systems to separate the delegates from the will of the people - this may not be reality (i.e. if Colorado was to straw, it could well be that the people truly want Cruz by a big margin), but the impression is there. So, as of today - neither Cruz nor Kasich gets majority guaranteed. So none of their reasonings against Trump - like, 62% of the people rejected Trump - that goes back at them - they rejected Cruz or Kasich by a bigger %... etc. You just can't make the case anymore at this stage to weaken Trump. So a unity ticket is imperative. Now, if I was Trump, this is going to be my next stump speech - my unity speech (in complete Trump-speak): Lyin' Ted. He holds the bible up, puts it down and starts lying. He lies so much he can argue with Bill Clinton on what the meaning of "is" is. But that's okay. I get along with everybody. It's true! I know the most vicious people, they work for me. The best of them will be working on renegotiating our trade deals. This election is so rigged and Lyin' Ted knows exactly how to manipulate the system. He took votes from Ben Carson - who endorsed me, by the way. He took votes from Little Marco. He is the best debater - nobody is better, except me. He debates very well until I start interrupting him every 15 words or so. But, Presidents don't debate. They execute. Senators debate all day long. But Senators have to be elected, so there's a better place for Ted Cruz than the Senate. Now all these people ask me for my list of Supreme Court Nominees. I have my list. There's only one name in it. One name. It's true! Ted Cruz. That's the only name. He is the best on the Constitution. He is the best with Conservatives. There is nobody more conservative than Ted, nobody better than Ted on the Constitution. He is so literal with the Constitution as it is founded that he can out-Scalia Scalia! When I'm President... when I'm President... within 6 months... SIX MONTHS... Ted Cruz will be a Supreme Court Judge. BELIEVE ME!
