Lousy teacher. I've always assumed that all agents involved made their uncompelled choices. I don't think Christ had to be judged and crucified, that's just what was going to happen to him, according to the omniscience of God. The prophecies come to man from God. God is not causing the future to happen in the way he has described. But rather, time plays out as God has beheld, and tells man what will happen.

Speculation is defined as the forming of a theory or conjecture without firm evidence. When I say there's no warrant to speculate or go beyond what we already have, I mean there's no reason to do what I was doing and concoct an intellectual train set to explain why deities exist. There's no reason to speculate what the Priesthood is or where it came from or the nature of God's power over matter and energy. There's no reason to speculate about God's spouse(s), etc. It's up to the individual to determine these things, but it's from my experience that I should not speculate in the manner which I understand.

I'm sorry, you'll have to clarify, I'm not sure what you mean.

I'll speak from my own experience. I used to ask all sorts of questions about the nature of "the gods," the nature of reality, how God is God, etc. At one point my conclusion was this: gods exist because of mechanics found in nature. God's power is the result of the observer effect and superposition. God, having evolved over time into a super intelligence, can cause the organization of universes by the very act of observation, He being an 11th dimension super intelligence. God is essentially an exalted ape and has followed the mechanics of nature to his final stage of evolution. This turned God into an intellectual plaything and diminished his divinity. This all changed however when I finally bothered to open the Scriptures and learned that the laws of nature are his doing and He therefore cannot be the product of natural mechanics. Or take for example my first thread posted on this forum. I had concluded that God was not our literal father and that he was a Christ. We have been given the revelations, we have been given the Scriptures, and we are privy to personal revelation. There's no warrant to speculate or go beyond what we already have. It reminds me of an intellectual Tower of Babel. Chasing after mysteries and speculation when I imperfectly and unreliably practice what I have already been given. Be grateful for what we've already been given, and understand, whether we know it or not, that we are dust.

I'm absolutely obsessed with this at the moment, my favorite part starts at 9:30 to the end. (Turn down if you have headphones or earbuds)

The Mormon Church Supported and Benefitted from Nazi Germany
Snigmorder replied to Anddenex's topic in LDS Gospel Discussion
Accusing the church of "tolerating the Nazis" seems like a bad case of presentism. -
How so? What he says in private ought his true feelings. Why would Hitler tell a group as large as the protestants that his goal is to subvert and destroy the church?
-
Jared Taylor defines the alternative right as a broad dissident movement that includes many different viewpoints on things like sexuality, economics, etc. "But they all agree on one thing, equality is a dangerous myth. The alt right is united in rejecting the current dogma that all races are equal. Races are different. ... and there's no reason to think nonwhites could maintain Western society."
-
I don't know much about anything, but if someone's going to use American understandings of right and left wing and apply them to the Nazis in an effort to demonize in American political group, they are wrong. National politics and establishment define right and left, not American politics. And fascist behavior is fascist behavior wherever you go, and the American left is exhibiting.
-
By definition Hitler was right wing once he established his state. But as far as his behavior, he resembles the American left. Prove Hitler was a protestant and that he worshiped the Jew called Jesus.

The Mormon Church Supported and Benefitted from Nazi Germany
Snigmorder replied to Anddenex's topic in LDS Gospel Discussion
MormonThink thinks Joseph Smith's night vision with Moroni is refuted by the height of his bedroom ceiling. If an anti mormon ever makes a claim about the church, hound them until they fork over the source. Because anti-Mormons are not privy to new or secret information. All of it is known by both the Mormons and antis and they should not be allowed to get away with their folktales. -
White supremacy is considered evil. But would anyone feel comfortable in a state of black supremacy? With black supremacy comes Black cultural and political supremacy, I'd head for the hills.

My understanding is that energy can convert to matter and matter can convert energy and that the "void" of space is full of energy. I don't know how the two are differentiated, I would assume behavior. I also don't understand what a "virtual particle" is, but that's apparently what they're referring to when they talk about particles coming from nothing. I don't know if they Think of these particles as energy or as matter.
-
I've never understood the notion that the Nazis were right wing. Moving to undermine the present system to establish your own system is the very definition of left-wing. Hitler wasn't a Catholic.
-
Aren't those particles manifesting from energy and turning back into energy?

The reason it posted me twice, for example.

It'll probably be how I look, many things are a mystery to Snigmorder.

Here's a statement from Joseph Smith in TPJS Page 158 "the spirit of man." "The spirit of man is not a created being; it existed from eternity, and will exist to eternity. Anything created cannot be eternal; and earth, water, etc., had their existence in an elementary state, from eternity." It seems by this statement, Joseph Smith considers something uncreated if it is organized from uncreated material. I assume this statement was made as counter to the doctrine of creation ex nihilo. He may be using create in the same way a traditional Christian would. I'll admit, it's a pretty strange way to put it. In my opinion it's conclusive that spirits are generated in the womb. This is a generation of power and of glory. Can an entity, not created, but generated and constituted of uncreated matter, fail to exist? Also, quick sidenote, there are people who have interpreted Abraham 3:22 as a reference to the creation of spirits, but Joseph Smith, in the same statement as quoted above, says: "the Father called all spirits before him at the creation of man, and organized them." It seems that Abraham's mention of the organization of spirits is a reference to spirits being organized into the council. Also I totally forgot this thread was about gay marriage, sorry.
