Forming a perspective like that must have involved seeing a lot of harshness, ugliness, death, disease, and destruction.  Your experiences aren't universally shared, eve.  There's also beauty in the world.

While there are many dimensions and people we might not know of, who we will see in heaven, the problem is that the current physical universe and cosmos and its expanding, is part of the enemy realm matrix. This earth is a prison functioning as a shield against God... a place where souls need be very careful choosing; because this world tries to steer souls against God at every chance, in a million ways.

The "Jewish beliefs" section (this one) is for Jewish beliefs.  Out of respect for Jews, we like to keep it focused on that.
The "Christian beliefs" section is for generic Christian beliefs.  Ditto for keeping it focused on generic Christian beliefs.
The "LDS Gospel discussion" section is for LDS Christian beliefs.  There's several other sections for that too.
"General discussions" for whatever.  Like the "What's the last movie you saw?" thread.
Things which go no where: bickering or bashing anyone stuff, especially anti-Christian and anti-LDS Christian.  We try really hard to keep things positive here.

Isaiah is talking about: events going on in the other world, since the fall and right now, with rev and end times. Literal events. Genesis is also literal and happened in the other world but often since there are lacuna, marked as symbolic only. A register and overlay but not the main point, is the 500ad context but that’s less important.

All nations on this earth are but earthly kingdoms run by the mindset of this world.  Zion (tsiun) is not on this earth. Israël is not a country on this earth. There is no future for this earth. Prophets write it will be destroyed, sky and land. The precious to Him is His souls. He hurts when we do not obey and follow Him.

    Are You Ready?

I grew up reading, listening, and watching warnings that Jesus was on the way to pick up his followers. The book The Late Great Planet Earth, by Hal Lindsey, was a non-fiction description of why we were on the brink of the rapture. The Left Behind series was likely inspired by this book. The movie Thief in the Night was a frightening depiction of a post-rapture world, in which Christians were rounded up and threatened with the guillotine if they did not take the mark of the Beast. Finally, Larry Norman’s song, “I wish we’d all been ready,” soulfully mourned those who knew Jesus was coming, but were not prepared.

2 Peter 3:10 tells us that Jesus’ coming will be ‘like a thief.’ Likewise Matthew 24:44 says he will come at an hour we do not expect. So, why do we not hear much in churches today about Jesus’ return, when it was such a hot topic in from the 1970s-90s? The short answer is that we ministers overplayed our hand. I remember the images of televangelists waving the Bible in one hand and the newspaper in the other, proclaiming, “Fulfillment!  Fulfillment!” Ultimately, there was too much newspaper and not enough Bible. After the threat of the Y2K Bug fizzled, many Christian ministers became reticent to address the promised return of Jesus.

Still—the Bible says Jesus will come back. So, why wouldn’t a Christian be ready? Problem #1—they figure it’s been 2,000 years; it just might be 2,000 more. Problem #2—they believe certain events must happen before Jesus returns: the rebuilding of the Temple, the preaching of Jesus to all peoples, or perhaps that the Antichrist becomes identified. The final problem is that they just get too busy with daily life, and the promise/threat of Christ returning fades.

How to address these challenges? In answer to all of them, Jesus says to be ready. That so many are no longer expecting him to return soon means we are in exactly the kind of time when he might—an hour when he is not expected! Further, In Luke 12:40 the Master labels Christians who are unprepared as slovenly and careless. Jesus-followers should continue to share their faith, engage in charity, seek out strong Bible teaching, do what is right, eschew what is wrong, and obey God’s directions.

What of those who are not God-seekers?. Become one. God promises that those who seek Him will find Him—though He is not far. A final humble suggestion—God associates with his own followers; so church is a good place to find Him!

    The name "Third Hour"?
It's kind of an inside joke.  Church every Sunday for LDS Christians was three hours long for decades.  They recently shortened it to two hours, so we named the forum "Third Hour" for our extra social / study time.

often one can be mesmerized by feeling special because of that, adding to any falsity. 99% of the time, or more, it is false...the enemy realm showing its version.
I would be careful.  In fact, most cases I see on line are delusional.

I did not know that lds pay attention paid to nde? But the whole topic is so polluted and so easily hijacked... and most of the examples are not from God. Of course the most gorgeous thing is that He will talk to us and help us... but remember the other realm tries to jump in and whisper its advice as well. It's best I think to just stay with Him and stick to innocent topics all we can.

Please you be careful making major changes all at once. I can't say anything as advice, as to what you should do, because I would have to feel the words. Can you wait a little bit more ?  I would not label you so quickly. I'd not know what to do with "messianic gentile'. To me that sounds a bit strange.

DennisTate reacted to MrShorty in thoughts on liturgy and "high church"
Some elements of Holy Week and Christmas often bring up the question of the value of liturgy in Christianity. I was out and about town last night and caught a portion of an Evangelical radio program called Breakpoint and they were talking about the lack of formal liturgy in many Evangelical churches, and how some of that liturgy is starting to make its way into some Evangelical churches. One of the hosts reflected that, until very recently, he did not recall ever having or attending a Maundy Thursday or Good Friday service (for the record, his opinion was overall positive to see some of these liturgical elements entering the churches he was familiar with). I recall another essay I read where the author was describing insights gained attending a Good Friday service that included the symbolic elements that many traditional liturgical churches include that help the worshiper symbolically relive the historic experience of laying Christ in the tomb and reflecting on what that might mean when the promise of Easter is a somewhat unkown thing yet three days in the future.
My question for the group (and I am putting this in Christian Beliefs because I would like views from those across the Christian spectrum) is just to get opinions on these liturgical elements. Respectfully like or dislike them? Do they add to your worship, or detract? Would you like more or less? Any other thoughts?

This is my fault... when I talked to you on a thread the other day , i thought  your beliefs  to be messianic or lds mixed with messianic? So through my own fault I wasn’t clear about my reaction to those videos... that there are two realms and much of the near death stuff is not related to God’s realm.
