  1. Bro, just wait till @mirkwood starts posting around Halloween!
  2. Welcome to the internet. Are you new here? 😉
  3. All true, but let’s not forget something. Being a parent is among the most holy and sacred obligations. While an abused offspring might (key word, might) be “obligated” to help the abuser, what about the parents obligation to protect and keep the child safe? If the parent violated or in the worst cases, broke the bond, are you still obligated to help? I get how I’m speaking about a small minority, but that minority exists, and they might feel tremendous guilt about being in this situation, even though they shouldn’t. Again, this isn’t about me. I just had a long phone call with my dad about his trip down here this month. So I’m not taking about Tim here.
  4. @Carborendum and @NeuroTypical-you guys both make great points, as always.
  5. For me? It’s all about earning it. I love my mom and dad and we have a great relationship. So what I’m about to say doesn’t apply to me personally. Not all parents deserve to be honored. If you are mentally ill, physically or emotionally abusive, you do not deserve to be honored. I have seen firsthand how some parents manipulate their adult children after years of abuse. So it’s a nuanced topic.
  6. I do the laundry, cleaning, garbage, vacuuming all of the day to day stuff. Love doing it too.
  7. We cared. That’s why we posted our thoughts about the matter. <3
  8. Ug! Computer issue! Sorry for the blank post @Carborendum. Seriously, I have nothing to say.
  9. I saw a pro masker storm off in a huff because “no one else in church was wearing a mask”. The dude was morbidly obese (descriptive, not pejorative) so I found it grimly ironic. That said, because he was high risk, he probably had to be more careful. I haven’t seen tantrums for anti maskers firsthand, but I’ve heard of them happening.
  10. I feel honestly sorry for businesses now. If they demand you wear a mask, the right has a temper tantrum and refuses to shop there. If they don’t demand you wear a mask, people won’t shop their because they feel unsafe.
  11. Good. Arrive, spend your money, then go home. 😉
  12. And yeah, that bake your own pizza at home thing DOES sound really cool!
  13. Uh, yeah about that. You know old friend, maybe we should consider teaming up and making fun of @mirkwood and @NeuroTypical. Who are older than both of us.
  14. That’s a really nasty description of @Just_A_Guy dude. Uncalled for.
  15. Bro, I told you, I’m sorry I made that donation to Nancy Pelosi in your name, but chill!
  16. Yeah, I don’t know why it sounds gross to people? It actually sounds quite good!
  17. That is such a cool idea.
  18. Actually, both pizzas sound fine my friend. And @mirkwood and I were talking Papa Murphy’s yesterday. Is that the place where you have to bake it yourself?
  19. Oh, agree totally. And having Covid or transmitting it to me or my employees will certainly affect their and my ability to work...so..... I do see this issue vastly differently, and that’s fine, agreeing on everything makes this place boring. I still don’t really get it though.
  20. Great choice! Does SLC have it’s own style of pizza?
  21. “So, how is your sex life, Elder Jones?” “What??? How dare you ask to take my temperature!!”
  22. Is taking your temperature at the door really that much of a problem? It seems like an odd hill to die on. I don't get it. I remember someone posting once that she didn't love being asked at church when she plans to have babies or get married, and those were considered fine questions to ask strangers (someone please find that thread I'm fairly sure it was here), but taking two seconds to see if someone has a fever is a gross violation of all that is holy and private? I’m not trying to be funny, I’m honestly confused.
  23. That’s awesome! Is Seattle known for pizza?
  24. My favorite is New York style loaded with mushrooms.
