  1. And to counter this video, read this: https://amp.abc.net.au/article/13031918 and this: https://theconversation.com/why-do-we-get-shots-in-the-arm-its-all-about-the-muscle-161259 Also, Clancy is an immunologist who specializes in COPD. Not Covid. What you did was hire tax lawyer to defend you in a capital murder case. He might he a brilliant tax lawyer but that means nothing in this scenario
  2. I’ve always thought that the people who like meetings are always the least productive people in the office.
  3. Fair enough. That’s why teaching kids how to think critically is so important. So they won’t fall for rubbish like this. I still think I’m right though. While we all get duped from time to time, if little Joey keeps falling for stuff like this, take the college savings fund and go on that trip to Maui.
  4. I understand that-to a degree. There are people who think 9/11 was an inside job, the moon landing never happened, and that eating organic food makes them healthier. If you want to live a happy life, make fun of them with your buddies instead of arguing with them. Seriously-what’s the difference between people who deny the Trump shooting and those who think Bush flew the planes into the WTC via remote control?
  5. I’m going to be really blunt here. If your child is unable to see the humor in this or worse, tries to lick uranium and drink from gasoline pumps, AI is the last thing you need to be concerned about.
  6. I’m with the kids. I thought it was hilarious. If someone tries these things in real life, chalk it up to natural selection and move on.
  7. Did you ever say to them “Since you know what to do…do it.” And then walk out? Best feeling in the world. You are in an increasingly growing group. More and more people my age (tail end of Gen X, Xennial) are unwilling to sit there and take abuse, especially when we aren’t getting paid for it. The old school “Sit there, shut up and let me scream at you.” just doesn’t work anymore.
  8. Agree again. To be fair though, it’s more a problem with human nature.
  9. I can sing the National Anthem, but if I did so in public it would cause everyone around me to immediately question their patriotism and embrace communism.
  10. Amen brother. I’ve heard comments like that. Very sad.
  11. I’m an ethnic Englishman as well, but thank God my grandmother took that plane across the pond and landed in the good ole US of A.
  12. I’m sorry about this my friend. @NeuroTypical is one of the kindest people I’ve ever met-and I’ve had the joy of meeting him in person. I’m 100% certain that he didn’t mean it in a cruel way
  13. You aren’t. You are just an honest person with questions.
  14. https://nypost.com/2025/05/22/us-news/elias-rodriguez-talked-down-about-iraq-war-vet-dad-raised-money-to-attend-leftist-conference/?utm_campaign=iphone_nyp&utm_source=pasteboard_app and your side @Phoenix_person has to accept that this guy was “one of our own”. Bitter medicine.
  15. I’m against the death penalty. But if the animal who shot these innocent people was hanged in the morning I would not cry about it.
  16. As a comedian, her biggest “crime” was that it wasn’t funny. A good comedian can get political points across while being funny.
  17. W was despised as much as Trump is, but our short memories struggle with that. Bush was too nice a guy to push back (metaphorically) while Trump is so thin skinned that he’ll punch back to everything. I think that’s a big reason why MAGA likes him. Trump fulfills their dark fantasies by being as a nasty as possible to those who disagree with him. It’s a little troubling, actually.
  18. I think modern feminism no longer does this. They are battling amongst themselves about if they should call transgender women “women”.
  19. Remember it’s all volunteer. It’s not a job. People work 65 hours a week-we in the church should be grateful we can find people willing to work their callings at all. Before I was certified I used to volunteer to referee TKD sparring matches. I did so for free. I was absolutely willing to accept criticism, but if anyone tried to give me a “royal butt whipping” I’d take my tie off, leave and go find a beach.
  20. To be fair to @Carborendum, I’ve seen MAGA “conservatives” embrace tariffs-which go against basic (very basic) free market economics. So if someone said that Sowell switched too, that’s understandable.
  21. Very cool @Phoenix_person!
  22. I’m very disappointed in him. He had that libertarian vibe.
  23. That’s a losing issue for the dems, just like gay marriage is for the republicans. Your average non political young person (especially rural) wants to keep their guns, thank you-and doesn’t understand why someone is so against Mike and Jeff getting married
  24. He’s absolutely right about that one.
