  1. HAHAHA you always crack me up Moksha Yeah, Bubble and Squeak is proper English nosh. And I wouldn't eat Kidney Pie even on it's own!! lol A bit of fun for any ice cream lover... :) I just went on to the Ben and Jerry's website and you can create your own ice cream flavours from the selection of ingredients they have listed... And if you're really lucky they might chose to make it into real ice cream!! lol
  2. It sounds like you guys have tons more different flavours than we do here in England... I luuurve ice cream!!! (Haven't had ice cream for ages... perhaps I should go out and get some...hmmmm) I'll eat pretty much any flavour of ice cream. Never scared of trying something new... :) My favourites are anything with chewy bits in it... like cookie dough or brownies or fudge or something like that. (I really like Ben and Jerry's but it's so expensive...) I prefer varieties of chocolate ice cream - not too keen on strawberry, however sorbets are nice (yes I know technically they aren't ice creams as they are missing a vital ingredient to have that title... lol) although vanilla ice cream definitely comes 1st place as an accompaniment to warm brownies or apple pie or in a float... but then again we don't have great Rootbeer here either for floats... and we don't have places around here where you can sit in and all they serve is ice cream and desserts and all that... ughh All together now..."awww, poor deprived Brits..." hahaha
  3. Wow they really wiggle!!! :)
  4. Welcome! :)
  5. Hi and welcome! :)
  6. At first it was clockwise and then after a few seconds of concentration she was spinning anti-clockwise - and then she started to breakdance and she also danced the Macarena!! I must be a genius! hahaha
  7. Willow, in our stake I've known people to just volunteer or to be asked to be chaperones at dances when they need someone - even if they have no calling in the Youth Program. I must admit I don't actually know the church policy on this issue, but in my opinion it's odd to say you can't go as a chaperone... surely as long as there is someone there from your ward...??! (Spirit of the law rather than letter of the law...eh'? if it is the 'law' after all and not just someone's misunderstanding??) The youth are so important and should be able to go to a church activity if they really want to and others should just have to work around that. If that means someone from outside the Youth Program is the chaperone for the evening - surely that should not be an issue? Imagine it was Heavenly Father or Jesus Christ at the door for this dance and somebody brought their mum instead of a youth leader as a chaperone... would they deny that youth entry to the dance? I couldn't imagine they would! Youth tend to behave better when parents are around anyway.. Anyways, that was my tuppence worth. :)
  8. Very happy birthday to you, Dr Steuss! Hope you have a great day! :)
  9. Aphrodite, I absolutely detest vomiting too!! I don't think it's as bad as your phobia but I'll do anything I can to not puke when I feel sick. I only puked a handful of times through my pregnancies. I puked a few times during labour... But I do think that was due to the gas & air I was inhaling. But to console you a bit, I do know of people who never puke through their pregnancies and labour and didn't even feel nauseous either. So it is possible for women to have a vomit-free pregnancy - hopefully you will too when/if the time comes. :)
  10. Duuuude
  11. Hi Hope you enjoy it here :)
  12. Hi and welcome!! Great to have you here. :)
  13. Awww, who couldn't love you Skalen!? I have great In-Laws. (They pay me to say that...hahaha) No, in all honesty I do love them to bits, even though I don't agree with everything my MIL tells me 'is the way to do things'... I have never argued with her - even when our views have differed very much. I don't want to cause awkwardness and contention when we're together so I just say "Yeah, I can see what you mean. I might consider that." (albeit with a forced smile and gritted teeth...) And then I just keep doing what me and my hubby think is best...
  14. LOL Adie - yup I agree with you completely! I need my Indian take-away fix again soon I'm in Kent. You're further up north right? Palerider - I love Fish and Chips. Well, I just enjoy food in general hahaha Where did you serve your mission and when? :)
  15. You're in my prayers :)
  16. Hahaha this thread is really funny. It's making me giggle... Naked clog dancing bwahahahahaha....! It's amazing how small-minded some people can be huh'!? I heard years ago that we don't eat chocolate - especially white chocolate for some reason...
  17. HAHAHAHA u iz funny Moksha!!
  18. I wish we had it on TV here... It would save us trying to keep our kids occupied and not too noisy in their 'fidget' time from 5pm-7pm... Alas, we have to drive a full ten minutes down the road to sit in the chapel and watch it amongst the few other people who aren't at home pretending to listen to it on the net... It sounds like lots of you have some fun Conference 'traditions'. I think I'll have to start my own to bring out the 'specialness' of Conference Weekend in the future. :)
  19. LOL That's what I was thinking. It's a funny joke too :)
  20. Welcome! :)
  21. Wow cool! I wonder if it is an April Fools thing? If it's not, then that's really great. :)
