Heh, that's funny.No, I didn't have to ask God if I should ask God... to tell me the truth about things. I already sensed that God was the one who would tell me the truth, if I asked. And I already sensed that there was a true God because God told me that when I asked. And btw, there are others who think they are God, and when you really know God, you'll know that. :)

(which includes the Holy Bible and some other sacred domuments, for those who don't know) ... simply share some more of God's words... or words we refer to as scriptures... ... and as you have heard, ALL scripture is profitable... for the man of God to be thoroughly furnished... ... or in other words, Man does not live by bread alone, but by EVERY word that comes from God... ... and to know they're God's words, we simply asked God... But don't believe me. Ask God. :)

I'm not sure if this is what Serg had in mind, but here's how I see that as true.The truth is the truth, and in itself evidence that truth is just always the truth. Truth does not need evidence to prove itself true. WE simply need some way to know it. Do you know how to know what is true??? Do you know who Truth is, and where He came from??? He said: I'm the way... and the truth... Does me saying that tell you who??? Do you know who I meant by that clue??? If so then you know Him, and you know He is true. And I know that you CAN know too. :)

Heh, and you're a doctor??? No. You're way off... except for my highlights in bold. Of course I care about him, as a person, and he has the right to share whatever he thinks, whether he's right or he's wrong. But I do not care much for his thoughts or his actions, though I want him to learn from our God... the only one all of us should now try to learn from if we want to become what we worship. Who cares what some others may think??? If it's not from our God, then I do not want it, and I know how to learn from our God.

Hi AK,I don't get what you meant by my quote??? Are you saying the texts from those other people can be proven by logic alone??? If so, using logic alone, how could you prove that they wrote them, and that what they wrote was true??? Even if THEY told you that THEY wrote those words, and it WAS true, how could you prove that to others if you simply used logic alone??? And btw, my point is simply, YOU CAN'T. We must hear that from THEM, and then try their words, to know for a fact they are true. And to "try them" of course I'll ask God. :) Nice closer.

I have no hard feelings against you. I simply don't care what you think. And I also don't care much for much of what you do. Are you really expecting me to? Who are YOU to tell me what IS true. Who are YOU to say what's a lie??? I do know some truths, yes, I really do, And I know you can learn if you try. :)

The gospel (good news about Jesus Christ) will be heard forever and ever, and those who don't hear it while living as mortals will hear it soon after they die... but some won't receive it although we'll all hear it because they won't ask for His spirit... a spirit to help them know what they are hearing is truth they should want when they hear it. And btw, there will come a day of judgment, and after that no more work will be done, pertaining to things that we all must receive before we are judged for our works. And they who do love Him will see what He'll give them, and they who won't see that won't know Him.

That approach might seem logical to some, Doc, and while some might prefer it, I don't. I'd rather ask God to tell me the truth before I BEGIN to believe something. But I need to ask Him something SPECIFICALLY. I once asked God to tell me ALL truth, and He asked where I want to begin. So I began by asking a question about something I wanted to know, and I tossed around all of my thoughts about that while I asked Him to show me the truth. There were lots of reasonable conclusions, and all of them seemed logical, but only the TRUTH could set me free from the questions I had in my mind. And when God assured me of what was the truth, I knew it, and I still know it know. I know it's the truth, and I know it's from God because God removed all of my doubts... about the thing I had asked Him about. If I didn't know that, I still would ask God, was it YOU, or somebody else? And I'd never stop asking while I had any doubt it was God and He told me the truth. And yes, I've also felt Satan. They give totally different feelings. And if you don't know that then you don't know God, no matter what others have told you.

Why do you want US to answer your questions when you can simply ask God? And btw, I believe this life is a time we can show who REALLY has faith in God, and far too many that I have known want mainly to listen to others. Heh, peer pressure. Do YOU feel any pressure from peers? To me it is nothing but what THEY believe, and I will learn only from God. :)

When I say that I believe it is best to base our beliefs, or at least my beliefs, on faith from God, I don’t ever intend to convey the message that logic should be avoided. Logic is an essential element in analyzing my thoughts about anything… BUT logic alone won’t tell me the truth, because LOGIC IS NOT ENOUGH. For instance, using logic, I can state: I believe what I believe because what I believe is logical, so what I believe that is logical must therefore in fact be true. Right? Isn’t that logical? If what I believe is logical, then it MUST in fact be true? Can anyone see that what I believe MAY NOT be true, if logical? And btw, I’m being a tad facetious, because I know a conclusion attained using logic is sometimes not really the truth, but if you believe you can show me I’m wrong, then go ahead and knock yourself out. Now, in regards to the matter of faith, faith is another word for assurance, so when one has faith one has an assurance that what one believes is the truth, even when one cannot see the truth because TRUTH cannot be seen. And just as one can be sure of the truth, others can be sure one is wrong, when in fact what one knows or is totally sure of is what God assured one is true. And no matter what you or others may say, I believe God assures me with truth, and I also believe His assurance of truth can help all of us become one.

If you're asking if I think it is wrong for you, or anyone else, to ONLY use logic, even if you have prayed before and are praying now and will continue to pray in the future, YES, I think it is wrong to ONLY use logic at ANY time.There's a scripture from Isaiah who was inspired by God to say: Come, let us reason together. It does NOT mean, use ONLY your reasoning. It means to ask God for His wisdom. If you leave that step out, at ANY time at all, you're only relying on YOUR reasoning. There's another scripture from David, who said something like: Lean not upon THINE OWN understanding. In ALL that you do, acknowledge God, and He will direct your path. It does NOT mean: First pray to God, and then go and do what YOU think you should. You need to get ALL your answers from God, every day, every minute, every moment. If you do NOT acknowledge Him in EVERYTHING you do, you'll find out how weak you really are. I once thought I was a REALLY smart guy... before God showed me what I didn't know. :)

What do YOU mean by asking if your opinion would not be valid???Do you mean valid as in truthful, perhaps??? Do you think false ideas are as valid as true ones??? If an idea isn't true, is it valid??? And btw, please notice that I'm trying to make a distinction between an IDEA and a PERSON. Of course YOU are valid. YOU are a person, and YOU are a child of God. But if you have ideas that aren't really true, then you tell me: Are they valid???
