Misshalfway Posted July 28, 2008 Report Posted July 28, 2008 Ok....so occasionally when I am flipping channels, I watch this program. Sometimes I am really amazed. Sometimes, I am sure I can see the setup and other times I am pretty sure this guy has made a deal with the devil. Last night, he put a blanket over a girls head and when he lifted it her mid-drift was missing. Her head was there, as were her legs and feet, but he stuck his hands and even his head thru the empty space. Then later in the program, he walked on water -- Lake Mead to be exact. And people were swimming around him and feeling under his feet while immersed up to their necks. It make me uncomfortable. Just too close to the Savior and it made me wonder about how Satan tries to mimic angels of light and even the Savior himself. Anyway, what do you guys think of this Vegas delight???????????
lindsayjane Posted July 29, 2008 Report Posted July 29, 2008 I've heard that the "random bystanders" who supposedly verify that no special effects are used are actually paid off and sworn to secrecy through strict legal contracts. But I don't have any references for that claim.

Dont be afraid dear. Those people immersed up to their necks swimming around him were most likely hired hands who were putting something in place for him to walk on, all the while pretending to be just innocent bystanders, amazed by his "power". Its only an illusion sweetie.
kona0197 Posted July 29, 2008 Report Posted July 29, 2008 I was convinced long time ago that Criss is a satanist.
Dr T Posted July 29, 2008 Report Posted July 29, 2008 There are some vids debunking his illusions so fear not.
humbleone Posted July 29, 2008 Report Posted July 29, 2008 I have seen a few of his shows and feel the same as LM. Of course the things he does is fake, but there is still the whole creepy factor.
kona0197 Posted July 29, 2008 Report Posted July 29, 2008 He is the same as Angel. Both evil in my book.
RachelleDrew Posted July 29, 2008 Report Posted July 29, 2008 Eh, I have very little interest in magicians or illusionists personally. I just don't find it interesting. On another note, Criss Angel looks like he hasn't had a bath in about twelve years. He should magically conjure some shampoo for that rat's nest. I'd be impressed then.
PinkCow Posted July 29, 2008 Report Posted July 29, 2008 I really like this show LOL. The walking on water thing, was probably something that he should not have done... it's a Jesus thing. BUT he has a nice body. :) hehe
siouxz72 Posted July 29, 2008 Report Posted July 29, 2008 lol, Rachelle! that's what I think every time I see him...I'm just like *gag*! I can't handle looking at him for even one minute let alone what a whole show.
RachelleDrew Posted July 29, 2008 Report Posted July 29, 2008 lol, Rachelle! that's what I think every time I see him...I'm just like *gag*! I can't handle looking at him for even one minute let alone what a whole show. What's funny is, I like that almost "dirty" look on men. I absolutely drool over Johnny Depp.So if I find Angel to be too dirty, then you know he's pretty dirty. Lol.
PinkCow Posted July 29, 2008 Report Posted July 29, 2008 What's funny is, I like that almost "dirty" look on men. I absolutely drool over Johnny Depp.ME TOO!

Even if it's for entertainment purposes.
Snow Posted July 29, 2008 Report Posted July 29, 2008 I've heard that the "random bystanders" who supposedly verify that no special effects are used are actually paid off and sworn to secrecy through strict legal contracts. But I don't have any references for that claim.I've heard that Elvis is currently alive and serving an LDS mission in Gary Indiana, but I don't have any references for that claim either.
puf_the_majic_dragon Posted July 29, 2008 Report Posted July 29, 2008 (edited) I've heard that Elvis is currently alive and serving an LDS mission in Gary Indiana, but I don't have any references for that claim either. My friend told me he (Elvis) taught the first discussion to Hillary Clinton while she was campaigning there.:edit:Just a thought... All these girls liking the "dirty" unkempt Johnny Depp look have got me to thinking... It's almost like that advice that our Church leaders give us men to maintain high grooming standards and a clean and well-kept appearance is meant to keep us single... Or are they telling all the women to go after clean and well groomed men and the women just aren't listening? Edited July 29, 2008 by puf_the_majic_dragon
Misshalfway Posted July 29, 2008 Author Report Posted July 29, 2008 So you guys believe that it is all illusion. You don't believe that he is really dealing in energy or forces of evil????

You don't believe that he is really dealing in energy or forces of evil????I can tell you from experience if he were using such powers he wouldn't be using them as a magician on a tv show. At least - not if he had any clue what it was he was messing with.
Misshalfway Posted July 29, 2008 Author Report Posted July 29, 2008 Hmmm, that is interesting puff. Why not use them on TV?
puf_the_majic_dragon Posted July 29, 2008 Report Posted July 29, 2008 Hmmm, that is interesting puff. Why not use them on TV?I'm reticent to get into too many details about my past, but basically when you explore the.. "dark side"... it's either out of curiosity (which usually dies pretty fast and you move on to the next shiny object) or out of a lust for power - control. Sometimes out of revenge, but that usually translates into control. Fame and fortune rarely if ever factor into the equation, and those are almost always just short term avenues to gain power.Nobody makes a deal with the devil so they can walk on water to the delight of little children and the bewilderment of their parents. Those are just cheap tricks.

prospectmom Posted July 29, 2008 Report Posted July 29, 2008 I am not sure it is a deal with the devil or the devil decieving him.......... I want to believe he is good but get conflicting feelings when I watch him....... I didn't feel the walking on water was sacreligious but interesting and with all illusions makes you want to go hmmmmmmm.....
puf_the_majic_dragon Posted July 29, 2008 Report Posted July 29, 2008 In this case, I apologize that I must totally and absolutely disagree.Which is totally and absolutely your right :) I never claimed to have a monopoly on truth, I can only speak from my own experience.
DigitalShadow Posted July 29, 2008 Report Posted July 29, 2008 Chris Angel is a performer. He makes a living by tricking people who know they are being tricked but can't figure out how. He happens to be very good at it, but calling his illusions supernatural power because you can't immediately see how they are done is just silly. He hasn't made any deal with the devil, he is just a performer who is good at his job. No need to bring out the torches and prepare the stake.
