Hemidakota Posted October 30, 2008 Report Posted October 30, 2008 After receiving a news alert yesterday that the feds were going to cut the interest rate, I just laughed. Its too late at the moment to stop the rolling financial crunch around the world. Even the Japanese now beginning to see it.... Quote
countrygirl66 Posted October 30, 2008 Report Posted October 30, 2008 I wonder when we will have to start paying them to keep our money? Maybe I better start looking for mason jars. Quote
pam Posted October 30, 2008 Report Posted October 30, 2008 I've thought the same thing. A good strong box buried out underneath the tree. Quote
StrawberryFields Posted October 30, 2008 Report Posted October 30, 2008 Well the good news is that I have seen more ppl on the road since gas prices have fallen. Sure glad I didn't buy one of those gas cards that froze your price for gas on that card. It was a prepaid gas card. Quote
Palerider Posted October 31, 2008 Report Posted October 31, 2008 we gotta spread the wealth...... Quote

lilered Posted October 31, 2008 Report Posted October 31, 2008 we gotta spread the wealth......Okay, I'll do my part. Where do I send 1/2 my big jar of pennies cause that's all I got left of my savings. We're so poor now, neither of us can afford to pay attention. Quote
Palerider Posted October 31, 2008 Report Posted October 31, 2008 pale...are you advocating socialism? you mean the election is not over yet....I thought from listening to the news it was over......:o:D Quote

a-train Posted October 31, 2008 Author Report Posted October 31, 2008 A third party vote is not a wasted vote. Those that do so may not get their candidate into office, but if there is to be any hope for third party involvement in the political process dominated by the two party system, a large turn-out for a third party is necessary. -a-train PS, I find it somewhat dismaying that people call a social rejection of the right of property and the subsequent theft and reallocation of wealth from the masses to a privileged minority "spreading the wealth". miztrniceguy Posted October 31, 2008 Report Posted October 31, 2008 well, i actually believe that if a third party candidate has no chance, then it is better to vote for the one you dislike the least. Quote
miztrniceguy Posted October 31, 2008 Report Posted October 31, 2008 the question becomes "who am I more afraid of being in office", rather than "who do i want in office" Quote
Palerider Posted October 31, 2008 Report Posted October 31, 2008 well, i actually believe that if a third party candidate has no chance, then it is better to vote for the one you dislike the least. if the 3rd party gets enough votes...it might make the other 2 look in the mirror....what I mean by enough is.....enough to put a dent in a few elections, if that makes any sense Quote
a-train Posted October 31, 2008 Author Report Posted October 31, 2008 well, i actually believe that if a third party candidate has no chance, then it is better to vote for the one you dislike the least. And that falsehood is why they have no chance.-a-train Quote
