Dwight and Kobe up in 31 points, Howard pulled down 16 rebounds while Nash added 11 assists. I guess we are on a HUGE winning streak. We have TWO strong! Hahahaha, I know is nothing but it's a start and I'll take it. Kobe had 6 assists and Dwight had 2 blocked shots. Ron Artest added 12 points and Jamison had 10 points. My boys played well, Kobe shared the ball some and Howard was on fire. Good win. :)

We match up with the defending champions again tonight. The Heat are a good team so we will see how we measure of with a tougher team than we played in our last two games. We are at 17-21 and they are sitting at 25-12. Tip is set for 7:30pm PT at Staples Center. Come on boys!

I just read, Pau will rejoin the team on the floor tonight. He has been very discombobulated lately after the concussion. He's been having a lot of difficulty with brain funtioning and attention. I think it could be a good idea to bring him in off the bench to see how he's doing and then sit him down if it's too much.

We've turned it over 16 times in the first quarter! We closed the first half at 45 and Miami had 44. I'll take it. I don't know why we were able to pull ahead. I think it might be Ron's great defense that is playing a positive role. Kobe has not added a lot. hmmm... we'll see

A loss is a loss. Even if it is one point (which our last game against the champs was not) BUT I think we played better than expected. Yes, we loss, 99-90, Kobe was cold forever and then didn't stop shooting. Pau played. I don't like it too much that he stands so far out to shoot 3 pointers. Yes he can do it but I'd rather they pound it into the paint to that 7 footer and have him slam it. I know he is not as strong and athletic as Howard but a higher percentage shot could help us more. He is a great passer too. In the game vs. the heat we had 5 players in double figures but we also had 20 turnovers. We were close, led at half, then had a bad third. I hope we take it to other teams like we played the Heat but come out with a lot of wins from this point forward. We need to or it is over for us this season early.

Are you all (the one or two that read this stuff) ready to hear about my Laker's latest loss? Yep, we fell to the Raptors today. When I was able to start the game, Howard had been ejected from the game 17 minutes after he started. The replay, to me, seemed very ticky-tack. Yes I am a lakers fan so consider that view with that in mind, it is based on the glimpse from what I could see. Anyway, it seed that Dwight Howard wasnt playing well anyway, all the Lakers had - scores on the +/- stat but Clark who had a double-double today. We had a run in the fourth and lost 108-103. It seemed we could not play good defense again. We are flying to Chicago to play them next. Kobe had 26 points while Earl Clark posted the double-double of 14 points and 14 rebounds while Pau Gasol added 25 points.

You are so lucky, Dr T, to have a team that you can get your hopes up every game they play. That kind of hope invigorates your mind and increases the blood flow throughout the entire body. Now, before you go thinking that I'm some kind of MD, I'm not and wouldn't want to be. I'm a realist that thinks straight and believes that if you don't have something to hope for and a goal to dream about that soon your mind becomes stagnant and you lose those dreams that have kept you going strong for so many years. I say hold to the Lakers and never let go of that great quality of Lakers Loyalty!

That is a great point Gar. My mind has really changed recently as my body has gone down, down, down. Your point is well taken. The hopes, mental and physiological reactions I get from the excitement and mental activities that are still available are important things to hold onto. Thank you for that truth and your thought Gar. :)

Steve Nash scored a season-high 18 and Kobe's 7 of 22 and ended with 16 points was what he offered. We took the lead in the third and then were smashed in the fourth to lose 83-95. Thankfully for us, Derrick Rose was not yet healthy. Pau had 12 rebounds, Ron and Earl Clark both scored 12 points. The talk is all around about "trade of Pau" so we will see. It would be so mentally difficult to be Pau with all the rumors. He might want to leave as he will come off the bench, which he does not like. We'll see...

We play Memphis tomorrow looking to avoid our seventh straight loss and turn things around. We will be at exactly half way through the season. With all the talent we have I say DO NOT GIVE UP. Start playing inside out. The coach does not seem to know what to do with all the talent, wasting Pau and using a system that I say is not working. I'll say it again, "Start playing inside out" and share the ball. Reeeaaaadddddyyyyy, GO!

Dr T, I watched the game and Kobe didn't have a good game. The team played well which made up for some of Kobe's misses, but it just wasn't enough backup. It must be a team effort that involves Kobe's excellent shooting. Well, it' on to the next game and the next having hope for the Lakers. Gar

Jordan Hill, Lakers forward, had surgery this morning on his injured left hip. The surgery, removed loose fragments, repair of a torn labrum and a microfracture procedure to repair damaged cartilage. He will be reevaluated in one month and it will likely take 6 months for recover. I hope he is healthy quickly. He helped out bench.

I listened, via radio, tonight's game. Howard really came out to play tonight and was playing like an animal. He was all over it then he re-injured his shoulder and had to go to the lockers. Even though I said we played well, we came up short by 1 in the first, then Memphis won the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th tonight. They killed us on the boards! they out-rebounded us 52-34. Kobe scored 29 points and Artest scored 15. We lost 106-93 and play the Jazz next.

You know DrT; our boys didn't play very bad. I think that all they need is to get better on their quickness on the floor and play quicker and faster defense. They have the ability as a team to do that, perhaps they are doing just that, and I am hoping for too much from them. They can be a championship team and we have the simple faith that their play will get better and better. If more injuries happen then they happen, but that won't stop them from achieving the greatness they have shown as a team. I do believe that our combined prayers could help some of the team members make better use of their talents. GO LAKERS :shout: :shout: :shout: Edited by Gargantuan

From Lakers.com:

Lakers center Dwight Howard, who aggravated his right shoulder injury in last night’s game at Memphis, was examined today in Los Angeles by shoulder specialist Dr. James Tibone. Tibone confirmed that there is no further damage, and that Howard has been cleared to continue to play

That is good news! :D
