Anyone else a fan?

I'm an actor so I have performed in and enjoy musical theatre productions, and even some movie productions.

My favorite would be:

-Sweeney Todd

-The Producers

-Jesus Christ Super Star

-Seussical

-Across the Universe

Sincerely,

I have a hard time with most musicals...I can't stand how a good plot can be ruined by singing and dancing lol! My wife loves them, and I've been to quite a few, but I just can't get past the plot, singing, plot, dancing and singing, plot...not my cup o tea.

I have been in two musicals, Beauty and the Beast and Brigadoon. I loved Brigadoon. I am not typically a musical fan, I am more of an actor then a singer but my acting opportunities have recently dried up, up here in Idaho.

I owned the video of Jesus Christ Superstar/Norman Jewison and a few years back saw the play with Ted Neeley playing Jesus. My wife was recently in NY and saw Wicked. I liked the Lion KIng....does that count? :D

Love 'em! (Almost as much as Pres. Monson...)

My favorites (in no particular order):

Hairspray

Sweeney Todd

Sunset Boulevard

Ragtime

Bombay Dreams

Evita

Godspell (The first one I ever saw--saw it on Broadway in 1976 when my aunt was in it, and also performed in a high school production)

Dreamgirls

Miss Saigon

I got to see Young Frankenstein last year in Seattle before it went to Broadway. We saw it the second night of previews, so we were among the first people ever to see it.

True story--when I was living near London back in 1985, a friend who was in the French Club offered me a free ticket to see a brand new show which they were going to see. I turned it down, as I had no interest in seeing a "foreign" musical. I'm still kicking myself for turning down a chance to see Les Miserables with the original cast. (And now you know--the REST of the story.)

I love:

Phantom of the Opera

Les Miserables

Notre Dame de Paris (only in french...but I served a mission over there, so yeah)

Into the Woods

Sound of Music

Little Shop of Horrors

Music Man

One of my dreams is to one day actually sing the Phantom onstage somewhere.
